HAMSHIRE-FANNETT BOYS TOURNAMENT THREAD

Think HJ ended up tying HF, and i heard they beat BC 3-0 later in the tourney. -

many of the voters have HJ second or third in our dirty dozen polls... how does the team with both the most wins AND the least losses lose their only game on the road on a half court buzzer beater, and then all of a sudden lose the respect of 3/4 of the voters? and how does nederland ever get mentioned before them, with more than 10 less wins, 5 or more losses (don't feel like looking up exact records), and a terrible loss against them in their only head to head matchup? i mean, i can KINDA see someone putting Silsbee on top, but HJ 3rd? give me a break!
So is what you saying is that anyone that put Nederland above HJ is an idiot?
it just means i strongly disagree with them. i'm entitled to that opinion.

went today, and three of us kept 5 specks and 5 sandies after fishing about 3 1/2 hours. not a great day, but at least we didn't get shut out. there were a lot of idiots out, and one boat in particular cut us off 3 separate times when we were drift fishing, and also nailed us with a wake twice. during one stretch where they were way to close, i caught 21, 20, and 19 inch trout in about 10 minutes. i made sure to play the fish around the side of the boat to make sure they could see them, because they weren't catching crap :)

Hardin Jefferson vs WOS Predictions
HJ already had their wakeup call with Silsbee. They should be re-focused now. I originally thought that this might be a trap game for HJ if they beat Silsbee, but i think now that they have a loss we don't have to worry about them underestimating any opponents for awhile. I say HJ wins 75-59.
well, i was half-close :) -
wait... are you the Silsbee BADSANTA, or are you the Newton BADSANTA? I also heard there's one outside of San Augustine in Bronson...

bwahahahaha.

Hardin Jefferson vs WOS Predictions

I don't think they overlooked Silsbee at all. I just think that had they beaten Silsbee, they wouldn't even blink at the prospect of playing WOS. they'd assume that nobody could beat them. now that they've lost a game, i think it will help refocus them on the fact that they have to come out and play well every game. -

He stated they were big and used their size very well. But he also followed up with the statement that he thought HJ and Silsbee would beat them if they met in the playoffs. HJ and Silsbee would cause Royal problems with their pressure and speed.
All about the match ups
so true. i spanked blue dove at ping pong last month, even though he had a large height advantage on me.
That's because you had been playing tougher ping pong players than he had before the two of you met.
absolutely. plus he kept trying to slam the ball on me, while i was dropping in sweet, mid-range shots. -

C'mon guys! You should have put Nash, LAZEEK, & POPPA in the game. There is just no excuse >:(
The objective is to keep the fans interested, not to encourage them to leave the gym
sounds like a Chippendales show, not a HS basketball game...
i think if you pick an upset you should place higher
nah. this way works better. don't need people picking upsets all the time just hoping to get extra points. this way if you're right you're right, and if you're wrong, you're wrong. -
