  1. Fairfield won 72-25
  2. You know nobody listens on here...
  3. The refs definitely helped them do so, but China Spring broke 50 points 6 times this season in 28 games. They also won 21 of those games. They’re definitely a slowdown team. They were behind the whole game or I’m assuming they would’ve slowed it down a whole lot more than they did.
  4. To elaborate on this, Canyon beat 26-4 (8th ranked) Glenrose by 26 today, and Fredericksburg beat 23-2 (16th ranked) Robstown by 33 today. Both teams are more than capable of competing with the hawks.
  5. Good win. BU needed a test like this. Had some silly techs that kept Manvel in it early, and I thought BU forced too many drives into good rim protection. All in all, a win is a win, and this was against a quality opponent. Their next opponent won’t be much (if any) easier.
  6. Wow! Another great win for HD! That’s two massive upsets in a row!
  7. La Vega looks to be a solid team, but aren’t as good at slowing the ball down as China Spring. They beat Lumberton in the last minute. HJ beat the raiders by 48 earlier in the season. I expect a better performance from the hawks in a game that should suit their tempo and style of play a little better. That said, La Vega will copy China Spring if they’re smart, and they’ve shown this year they can win low-scoring games. I think the hawks win this one more comfortably. I’ll say 76-52 if LV tries to slow it down, but by more if LV falls into HJs style and tempo.
  8. I only listened to the broadcast. There were a lot of calls on them during the press, AND a lot of calls on shots in the paint. They just called it tight all the way around. They called a ton on CS as well, who had two players foul out. That said, the refs calling it that way definitely benefited CS. It slowed down HJs press some, and bailed CS out of some turnovers. They also got a lot of points from the line when they were struggling to score from the field. The announcer made it sound like there were more no-calls that benefited CS than HJ, but each team probably had 25 fouls for the game
  9. 57-47 is the final. Good test for HJ against a slowdown offense and refs calling a super tight game
  10. 20 seconds left. Hawks will advance. 55-45
  11. 51-43. Sneed just fouled out for HJ
  12. Just fouled out another CS player. HJ up 46-42 with a ft to go. 2:28 left
  13. One of CS main players just fouled out. HJ going to the line for 3 shots
  14. Jackson with a big 3. 42-36 with 5:02 to play
  15. HJ leads 28-21 at the half
