    They’ve got a good team. Just a couple of poorly timed penalties away from being up a couple scores at the half. That said, EC is definitely improved this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball

    Not sure on that rule. if the clock runs out on an offensive penalty I guess the half ends. Or maybe they do the time run off

    They’ve moved the ball pretty well. Just bad penalties and turnovers. Can’t complain much about the defense, apart from that one quick drive

    Penalties and turnovers have killed the horns. A TD to finish the half called back for holding. Earlier a run either for a TD or to the 1 called back for holding as well, and then they threw a pick the next play.

    EC with two decent drives both ending with 4th down stops, HF with a decent drive ending in a fumble, with a second still going into EC territory

    I’d be shocked if it’s not quite a bit closer. Also have to see if HF has a little hangover after a huge win last week, but I expect them to be up for this one.

    It looks like the game may be broadcasted on NFHS, which surprised me. I didn’t realize HF had gotten cameras put in. I’ll probably opt for that rather than getting there an hour early in 97 degree heat to get a spot to sit

    I made a post on facebook a few weeks ago essentially saying that I never dreamed I'd have a day in my life where it was 99 degrees outside with a little wind and a few clouds and I'd be thinking to myself how good it felt.

    HF beat EC 41-0 in Winnie last year. This HF team is probably better than last year's version. EC may have improved some, I don't know, but I still expect a comfortable win for the Horns.
