Hamshire-Fannett (21) @ Silsbee (39) - FINAL

HF made the play to get right back in it and then gave it right back. Big play for Silsbee there -

You have 4th and goal from 6 inches out, there’s no need for tricky formation nonsense and snapping it from the shotgun. Line up under center and punch it in. -

HF did everything they needed to do to stay in this one, and everything they needed to do to lose it in the first half. Pretty good defense, two great drives, and two bad mistakes inside the 5. -

Horns drove the length of the field but fumbled inside the 5. Needed to come away with something there -
ALCS- Lone Star Series

Bochy is obviously a fantastic manager, but i've hated pretty much every pitching decision he's made in the last two games. Dunning should've started over Heaney last night, and he should've stayed in with the bases loaded, or anybody but Bradford should've been brought in. Bradford gives up lots of home runs. I called it before it happened. He got lucky with Alvarez, and then hung another to Abreu. That double play was also a killer in the 5th. That was a big inning waiting to happen. -
Insults will not be tolerated. I get that arguments and debates can get heated, and a little leeway can be given. But anyone who consistently dishes out insults, jabs, etc. is going to end up banned. If you don't possess the ability to have a respectful debate with someone, find another site. In the general scheme of things, calling someone a sucker is not a huge deal, but devoting all of one's time to insulting people on here is. Thanks in advance for following site rules and participating in respectful discussions.

ALCS- Lone Star Series

IMO if the rangers win tonight, they're 80-85% favorites to win the series. If the stros win tonight, I'd put the stros at 65% to win it. So while it's not a must win, it's obviously a massive game. Balance of the series can be shifted completely back into the stros favor tonight, although the rangers won't roll over and die if that happens. -

I honestly can't remember. What's crazy is it's been almost ten years since he graduated. Doesn't feel like nearly that long ago. When he was in/out at HF I had just moved out here, so I didn't follow them much, and don't remember the details.

if there's an attainable, workable path to citizenship, anyone who foregoes it is a criminal. with the way it's set up now, I can't blame anyone for circumventing it.

I'm okay with the statement, but only if the legal pathway to citizenship is fixed.

we'll just have to disagree on this one. not pitching live game for over a month was much bigger than him having a bad outing against them back in september. The rangers did the same thing with Eovaldi at the end of the season, throwing him into the fire straight off injury, and he sucked for about 5 starts. Cost them the division, to be honest. He's just now starting to pitch good again. The rangers can't afford to do the same thing with Scherzer. I get why they did it, let the experienced ace try and shut them down, but he's obviously not all the way back yet. Let Dunning take his spot in the rotation, he's been good all year. Heaney goes tonight against the stros, and he's done fairly well against them this season, so we'll see. -

No grilling, just back and forth. And same to you! -
not gonna lie, i always thought you were like 50-something I played against him a time or two as well before I hung the sneakers up. I wasn't a bad player, but I wasn't getting any taller.

so did Eovaldi. Didn't matter last night. and Verlander and Valdez both beat the rangers last time, but they're a combined 0-2 in the series. My point being, you have no point. It's also debatable that Scherzer was healthy at that point. He made one more abbreviated start after that and then went on the DL. He had some lingering issues already. The real issue is that Scherzer hasn't seen game action in over a month. Everything else means nothing, although I can't blame astros fans who are grasping for anything right now. For what it's worth, Scherzer went 4 innings and 68 pitches in a simulated game last week. He threw well enough that the rangers are going to start him, and he's had another week to get healthy. Hopefully he's dealing, and hopefully Javier is missing the strike zone as much as he did against Minnesota last week. If he gives up 5 walks in 5 innings against the rangers he'll be punished for it, although just like Scherzer's last outing against the stros, it doesn't really mean much until we see how he's pitching tomorrow night. -

You love to see it. Win a couple at and advance. Scherzer coming back for the next one. I’ll be curious to see how rusty he is -
Any coverage area list is only going to have one 4A school in it. Local list is more interesting to me because it includes more small schools.

No clue. I honestly haven’t followed them much the last few years. We live in HF, and I work here, so my allegiance has changed. I still pull for HJ basketball, but I doubt I could name two players that’ll be on this year’s team.

I expect Silsbee to win by a couple scores, but Silsbee won it late when they played last year, and HF is a little better this season.
