  1. I can only imagine you were trying to make a joke.
  2. Truer words have never been uttered. Lmao.
  3. According to Willie Brown: "Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker," Brown wrote Saturday. Brown was the speaker from 1980 to 1995, prior to his stint as San Francisco mayor. Brown appointed Harris to the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and then to the Medical Assistance Commission – positions that paid her more than $400,000 over five years, according to SF Weekly. Brown also gave Harris a BMW. "And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco," he said... He was married at the time, but by reports had an open marriage. Kamala was 29 & Brown was 60 when it all began. @Big girl, you can draw your own conclusions.
  4. I'm just afraid she's gonna give me the Kamala Cackle when I drop trow...
  5. I said the same thing you did at the start. They should’ve been treated the same. One of the last things you said also resonates - the Supreme Court has not weighed in on the matter yet. Until that time everything else is a matter of opinion.
  6. I’m happy for you and your personal success. That is not the norm though. Folks are struggling.
  7. Well I've got kids in their 20's & one in her 30's and they're having one helluva time paying for daycare, gas & groceries. Two of them can't figure out how they can pay for all that & buy a house or pay rent too. None of them get a handout from the government. None of them have new cars. I'm glad you are able to afford those things, sincerely. But for young adults, even with 2 parents working, merely getting by is all you can hope for.
  8. He (Vance) did not like Trump at all several years ago - until Trump became president and changed Vance's mind. That was the reason for my post about Kamala. She, too, dogged her president before being named VP. And now that Biden's too feeble to do the job, he doesn't have enough confidence in his DEI pick for VP to step aside and let her run the country. Even when you're a leftist progressive democrat, "old white guys" habits sure are hard to break. I bet that really chaps her butt. Lmao.
  9. Well, my problem with Biden is in the here & now - and even more importantly the future. And it's interesting that you don't like Biden or Trump and you don't vote for any mainstream candidate, but you sure seem to throw about 99% of the shade exclusively on Trump.
  10. It was definitely political. But to be honest, both committed a crime. DJT didn't declassify those documents properly (or at all), and Biden didn't have the authority to declassify the documents in the first place. From the American Bar Association: "In all cases, however, a formal procedure is required so governmental agencies know with certainty what has been declassified and decisions memorialized. A federal appeals court in a 2020 Freedom of Information Act case, New York Times v. CIA, underscored that point: “Declassification cannot occur unless designated officials follow specified procedures,” the court said." Either neither or both should have been given their ceremonial "slap on the hand" because, after all, the ruling class follows a different set of riles than we do. Turns out, they didn't even get that. Go figure.
  11. What's the narrative?
  12. Boring. Wasn't that like 8 years ago? Luckily, several years ago, he realized he was wrong.
  13. Yeah, and Kamala nailed Joe Biden for being buddies and speaking highly of 2 segregationist senators and for working with them to oppose bussing.
  14. Yep. That's on them. Although the scene was iconic - and I LOVED IT - if I'm in charge of his protection, that doesn't happen.
  15. After the shot, when he crouched behind the bulletproof area by the podium, he was relatively safe. When they stood him up and he paused to put on his shoes, then to shake his fist and speak out, he was extremely vulnerable - especially his head. That's on the agents up close and the plan overall it seems.
  16. He said it publicly. It was said on a call to donors and then spread to the media by his campaign.
  17. I would prefer Burgum (sp?) or Rubio.
  18. Dis someone say "politically motivated lawfare"?
  19. Yeah, but hearing that even that guy condemns the SS's performance is very telling of actually how poorly they did.
  20. From CNN "Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas called the security a "failure" at former President Donald Trump's rally where he was nearly assassinated in Butler, Pennsylvania. Mayorkas says officials are conducting a full review of the situation."
  21. Nope. That's a SETX Sports faux pas. I quoted someone else, and it stuck you on it. Lol.
  22. The ones on the podium were SS. I hope hope when protecting someone like DJT, we could do better than okay. It's easy to armchair quarterback, and I've never been a SS agent, but I really thought it was lacking urgency at the very least. Plus, put the tallest biggest bastards between the target and the shooter. And don't give the target the time to put on his shoes and address the audience. Although I did love it.
  23. You know as well as I do, his silence was intentional to let Biden receive the spotlight to sink himself. It was a smart move, imo.
  24. Why do you think she would? Her boss hasn't.
