  10. Dude! How can you have such low expectations for a school in an area like mid-county that has an endless supply of championship talent? I mean the only reason that PN-G shouldn't be playing in the Class 5A-II State Championship Game every season is if they got beat by Nederland in the Region III championship!!! The same thing for the Bulldogs! Heck, Fox Sports Southwest should have to get Bob West to do the color for that game since either team should be a lock to get there. Jerry Jones should be compelled to play Cherokee on the speakers in and outside of AT&T Stadium all of championship week. Heck, even make the Cowboys come out to it (Lord help me). And you know damned well that the only reason that all isn't happening is the Art Briles isn't on the Indian sideline and Kendall Briles isn't the Bulldog leader (or does Reagan want Kendall on the Indian sideline and Art on the Bulldog leader....oh well, Reagan will gladly clear that up)! png9mon, should be ashamed of yourself!
  11. [Hidden Content] Prayers to Coach Taylor and his family as well as the Twolf family.
  12. Prayers for recovery for those players
  13. Well, let's see, you have alienated some of our larger fan bases here (Silsbee, WO-S, Newton and Nederland that I can recall off hand....probably more that have simply slipped my mind) to the point where it may be difficult to get an offer from ANY fan base. I hear Burkeville may be looking.
  14. My apologies if a discussion that Newton MIGHT face the possibility of a regular season loss makes you uncomfortable. I know it is not a subject that has been a realistic one to discuss in over 3 seasons due to a number of factors. But, if you look at the question marks that the Eagles do have, then I think you will agree that someone on Newton's 2019 schedule (at least their pre-district schedule) does stand a better than average chance of taking them. Will it happen? Nobody here knows. But it is a possibility. Again, if that causes you discomfort. Sorry. P.S. To all my Silsbee friends who have weighed in on the Silsbee/WO-S dual: Silsbee and WO-S have faced off more or less regularly since WO-S dropped from 5A to 4A in 1986. Number of Silsbee wins in that series - 4 (1993 - 20-14, 1998 - 21-20 (Bi-District), 2009 - 13-7, 2018 - 19-9 (Regional Finals)). Number of times that Silsbee has beaten WO-S in consecutive games: 0. I'll wait for that latter goose egg to disappear before I am ready to entertain the possibility that there might be a new "sheriff" in town....especially when we are both on a thread pertaining to the actual current sheriff.
  15. Jerry Ball, fullback on offense, line on defense. 1982. Rumor that they won a state championship that year. Decision made by a dude named Alex Durley. Rumor was he was kind of a big deal in coaching circles.
