Got word that Lumberton will have two starters (RB, WR) missing Friday night. Everyone else is a go.

Correct and it's why TL will not be doing their games.

They had all their starters play in both their scrimmages. They are good to go. That was not the case with Lumberton. Been a few starters not play in either scrimmage from what I was told.

I kind of want to know too. Would help with my pickems.

That's the thing, the family didn't initially move to Silsbee. Just the young man transferred in. It was then deemed "transferred for athletic reasons" so he had to sit a year. IMO, a coach has a responsibility to abide by policy and in good conscious not sign off if it violates UIL policy. The young man is just a soph. He transferred in as a freshman. He has plenty of time to play varsity sports at Silsbee.

Shortage has nothing to do with these games being moved back an hour or two. All has to do with game time temps. Now games being moved to Thursday or Saturday from Friday night does have to do with official shortage.

It's all about establishing legal residency. Middle school is not considered because it's not a UIL varsity sport. West Brook did not sign off on Johnson because legal residency had not been established. Johnson transferred but his siblings stayed back at West Brook. It's why he is not eligible until Nov. 6. Moshier is eligible because his family moved to Silsbee from San Antonio.

North Shore at The Woodlands moved back to 8pm Santa Fe at Kempner moved back to 7:30pm

Sheffield Productions did it last year but not sure they are doing it this year. Texan Live will be doing the game which tells me that Sheffield is not.

Forecast for Friday has game time (7pm) temps around 100 and heat index around 112-115 in this area. By 8pm the temp is forecast to be around 90-92 with index at 98. I think moving game times back an hour is smart.

Several games across the state are moving their game times back an hour or two to get out of the heat as much as possible.

I can take care of that. Will pin this one and edit the title. I am only going to put our coverage area game links in the thread but can attach the TL website link to the thread for others to see their game schedule.

May have to do with the fact the game is at PA and they do their own video stream.

United should have one of the better (or maybe most talented is a better way to label) offensive lines in our area. Now if they utilize this strength is the question.
