Thanks for clearing this up, OLDREF. I did not think the number of schools going with UIL was that small. Looks as though the area is pretty evenly divided as far as the numbers go.

SETXsports will be broadcasting Silsbee's games at the Big Sandy tourney starting with their Thursday 11:30am game against Beaumont Legacy. A Silsbee win will put them playing Woodville at 4pm on Thursday and SETXsports will also broadcast that game. SETXsports will possibly broadcast other games at this tourney so stay tuned to this thread for that information. Also I will do some blogging of other games at this tourney along with some at the Huntington tourney over these next couple of days. Silsbee wins this one by 20 but SHOULD have, seriously, SHOULD have won this by 30 or more. A couple of glaring stats: Silsbee was 11-31 from foul line Ozen was 14-22 Silsbee outrebounded Ozen 39-25, but missed 15 or more shots from point blank range. Easy put backs that the Tigers could not convert. These things along with the poor foul shooting will come back to haunt them. Leading scorers for each team: Ozen Joseph    9 Green    8 Silsbee Stallworth    17 Hill              12 Lane            12 Silsbee's '6"7 senior post Avory Thomas had a good game defensively, getting 5 block shots, 9 rebounds, along with 6 points. Thomas altered many, many shots by the Panthers all night. The Tigers still look a little sloppy, anxious to see how they do this week at the Big Sandy tourney.
