Although I am pulling for the Horns!!! ;) ;) ;)
GO MUSTANGS!!!!!
You don't want the Mustangs to win......if HJ goes in as 3rd place team then HJ and Silsbee will be round 3 in 3rd round and you already said and I quote.......I DON'T REALLY WANT SILSBEE TO HAVE TO FACE HJ AGAIN!!!!!!
I certainly said that. It's just too hard on me seeing my HJ friends get disappointed again for the 3rd time. ;) ;D Two times is enough. Besides, if that were to happen, Coldspring may take care of that possiblity before it happens. ;)

They want to show that last game with HF was bit of a fluke. I see Silsbee winning by 25+.
Fluke? Silsbee came in with no purpose the first game. Kinda like how Galveston Ball came to play Silsbee that night ;)
The difference in that comparison is Galveston Ball does not beat Silsbee without their head coach, second best player and key reserve not there. Where as Silsbee did just that against the Longhorns in HF. ;)

Another good example of Silsbee being more focused was the game this past Saturday with WOS. The first time, Silsbee beat WOS in Silsbee by only 9 points. The next time (Saturday at WOS) the Tigers jumped out to a 17-4 lead and never looked back on their way to a 73-46 win. This also was Coach Travis Williams first game back. The players seem to be much more focused now and I look for better play from this team from here on out. Silsbee will also get one of their key reserves back this Friday which will help them greatly down the stretch. Another key fact in tonight's game, Prentice Lane will play. He did not play against HF the last time, nursing an injury. Prentice is playing very well of late and I see another great game from him tonight.

The #7 state ranked, #1 SETXsports Silsbee Tigers will play host to the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns TONIGHT at the Tiger Den on the campus of Silsbee High school. The Longhorns (14-13, 3-4) are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive after defeating Bridge City Saturday, 64-52. The Tigers (26-2, 7-0) come off a dominating win over WOS, winning 73-46, to remain undefeated in district play and to extend their current win streak to 15 games. Silsbee can clinch the #1 seed and at least a co-district championship with a win over the Horns. HF needs to win at least 2 of their remaining 3 to have a shot at the playoffs. In the last meeting, Silsbee squeaked out a 64-57 win over the Horns. Broadcast time will be 10 minutes prior to tip, which should be around 8pm. Click the link to hear all the play-by-play.
yates, ball, brenham and humble
Good selections. Nederland and Humble are likely to face each other in the quarterfinal round (3rd round). Winner would advance to regional tourney. With Brenham likely winning district, they are like Nederland in that they will not see Ball, LaMarque or Yates till the regional tourney.

If Ball and LaMarque finish 1-2 in the district(which is expected), they would not face each other until the regional final. Nederland being distict champs, they would not see Ball, LaMarque or Yates till the regional tourney. If Ball wins their district and them and Nederland win their respective playoff games (1st-3rd rounds) they would face each other in the regional semifinals. If LaMarque finishes 2nd behind Ball, they would face Yates in the 2nd round. Nederland's path to the regional tourney looks really promising.
