Since those two classifications send 4 teams to the playoffs, no team gets a bye in the first round. District play ends on Tues. 15th, the Bi-district round (1st round) starts on Mon.-Tues. 21-22. The weekend of the 18th and 19th allows for any district play-in or seeding games. I would imagine that most teams would like to "recharge the batteries" during that time. 3A-1A district champions are always looking for a warmup game so they will not be off for over 10 days before they play their first playoff game.

Didn't know that losing last night's game would have some looking at yesteryear and next coming years. ::)

We went from the last 2-3 years with "Juco" height, to now just one '6"4 player. Next year we will not have a player over '6"2 and only 1 starter returning (Gaines). Silsbee should be okay next year, but nothing like the last 4 years. Tigers will be down some next year, a year away from being back on top. ;D But enough of this next year talk!!! Still plenty of season this year.
