1.
Not homecoming, say it ain't so...we haven't been a homecoming team for years...I guess that is our true welcome back to 3A (only been gone for 6 years ya know).  I may have to run to Wal-Mart during halftime to do our grocery shopping, nothing more boring than the other teams homecoming.  As far as Silsbee having 4A talent in 3A, probably a few on the roster are, but just because you have beat a few bad 4A teams, don't start making your reservations for Dallas in December just yet.  No doubt the Tigers will unleash some points on the Coogs, but no one in blue and white will give up until the clock reads 00:00, I can assure you that.  Go Cougars!!
I don't see anyone mentioning Dallas when it comes to Silsbee football. ::) But, Silsbee doesn't need to be "state title" good in order to take down Buna. ;) ;D

 9.

man oh man shaking my head at these rookies who actually put stock into a scrimmage.... ::)
Such as yourself and a couple of others from Vidor (on previous posts). The only sensible way to ask this question would be to amend it by saying, "Is WO-S (or PAM, Ned, etc.) the best team in SETX without consideration of classification?"  It would be like saying a certain boxer is the best "pound for pound" fighter.
I agree, griff. and in that case, I would say West Sabine is the best team, pound for pound. ;)
 10. Collapse in Chicago!!! Some players choked their matches today. Namely Furyk and Stricker.
 11. Love, love, love this partnership with you guys!!

 13. BTW, there is no way there was 8,000 + at the game looking at some of the pics and the shots of the stands on the telecast. I was told probably more like 4500.
 14. I am a season ticket holder (all three seasons now, and also currently 13 years for basketball). My family and I did not attend the game yesterday because we donated our tickets to a local charity (Special Olympics) so that a family could go who had never been before. That family did attend from what I was told. Now, had we kept our tickets for yesterday, I highly doubt my family would have gone because of the weather coupled with the fact that the game was televised. My youngest son has autism and he doesn't do well at rainy games. It's just not conducive to a fun afternoon for our family. I have no problem with the 3pm games. It's all the same to me. I agree, the product is not what I would like it to be, but it is not the determining factor in our decision not to attend. The combination of rain (or possibility of) and TV will always hurt home attendance. SLC TV did the game, not much Lamar could do about that. But I think it is always a mistake to have a local TV station broadcast home games live, which Fox 4 did a couple of weeks ago.
 15.
Based on the season so far? Do you think can WOS can beat any team in the area? My opinion is they can
To answer the question in the title, no. But that's not saying they won't be at the end of the season. To answer your second question, I think WO-S is capable of beating a lot of teams in this area. On any given night, it could happen. In a one gamer, lot's of things can happen. I still say PAM, Dayton and La Porte would beat WO-S and Nederland and Vidor would definitely have a good shot at beating the Mustangs. I even think my Silsbee Tigers will have somewhat of a shot of beating WO-S. I think WO-S is one of the best teams in our area (I have then #3 in my rankings this week behind #1 PAM and #2 Dayton). Are they the best team? Not yet. ;)
