This was Jasper's district to win from the beginning. Center will be 2nd and 3rd will come down to Diboll and Kirbyville. Kirbyville is very down this year but could be good enough to beat Huntington and Diboll, which would put them in playoffs. Dibolls losses have been to very good teams, but their win last night against Shepherd was not impressive at all. Shepherd is terrible, lost to Bridge City 61-3, lost to 2A Woodville 32-19 (Woodville's only win this season). Diboll only beating Shepherd by 7, 33-26, really does not bode well for the Lumberjacks.

The Beaumont West Brook Bruins travel over to Katy to take on the #2 state ranked Tigers at Rhodes Stadium, today at 6pm. West Brook (3-0) has wins over Bmt. Ozen, 24-7, Bmt. Central 20-14, and Aldine Eisenhower 27-21 OT, to start their season. Katy (2-0) started their season with a 34-6 thumping of GP North Shore and then followed it up with a 31-0 blanking of Alief Taylor. Katy was off last week. In last years meeting, Katy defeated West Brook 45-21 at BISD Stadium. Pregame will start at 5:30pm with BISD play-by-play man Jereme Hubbard and SETXsports Administrator Todd Broussard doing the color. Kickoff will follow at 6pm.
