On the other hand, you guys have to realize that what Lamar is doing is normal... Doesn't mean that it is right. But professional athletes get these second chances all of the time. Lamar is just taking these guys because it's hard as a start up program to pass up on guys like these when they'll probably wind up playing you from another team in the conference. Yes, it sucks... But it's something that you need to be mad at every team about, not just Lamar. Plenty of other programs do this. Again doesn't mean that it's right. I know that if I did something small wrong that didn't affect a life, I sure would want a second chance.
1) I guess it's also ok to condone steroid use....everbody is doiing it. Why doesn't LU set themselves apart from that, and take the high road, some things are more important than winning AT ALL COST. 2) I realize alot of schools (HS and College) and pros are doing it. But if you are aware of specific circumstances, and you continue to support through ticket purcheses then you are condoning and approving of this behavior. It wont ever happen, but the fans control t hese things, if we don't purchase tickets, and let it be know as to WHY we arent supporting them...it WILL stop. But I do understand, the almighty championship at all cost is worth way more to some than the message it is sending to younger athletes. 3) The article seemed to be written in a positive way toward LU, whereas to me, it came across as bragging and airing dirty laundry.
You do realize that 98-99% of this team is full of great guys who work their butt off day in and day out to win an SLC Championship? What would it show by the fans saying that "We don't want to support you because you took a couple of guys with shady backgrounds?" I'm sorry, not supporting the team because of a couple of bad eggs isn't the right way to go. What are you saying to all the other guys who are great and bust their hump every day? (Which is just about all of them) Sorry, I realize where you're coming from, but I don't think that's the best way to go about it.
Realizing its just a movie "remember the titans", but why wouldn't "the good ones" step up and rid their team of such filth. Ok, so if that method is a little extreme, how do you send a message to the coaches and/or admin. that bringing these types of players in is not acceptable by the fan base that respects higher standards than the "win at all cost" mentality.
Question, what percent of the actual Lamar fan base is the "fan base" that you speak of? Do you actually think it's a majority?
 3.

We all know polls are merely a groups opinions and change week to week but I'd like to know the process of pic-n where 3 classes are grouped together. If you go by how teams fared last year(the most logical stat-cause nobody's proven nothin this yr)Then Coldsprings(last team playin in a title game should be @ the top of the big school poll, then followed by the next most successful team,so forth.Personally I'd rather the team I support not be ranked(puts a target on your back)but on another note I can't see a team w/ZERO  success of winning a dist.title in a very long time (Liv)grabbing the top 4a spot/2nd in the big school poll.Explain the reasoning please. And shoulda's don't mean anything, there's hundreds of those cases every yr.final tic is a done deal, until UIL reverses a protested game 8)
Well, tex. For a complete answer to your question you will need 10 different posts as we do not dictate the criteria by which the pollsters rank their teams.  Yes, it is a struggle to rank teams across 3 different classes in polls.
I'll give my answer tonight on the show. ;)
 4.
Too bad they rarely run the ball over there at Silsbee and won't take advantage of that huge line...
Hmm.... Since I broadcast every one of the Tiger football games last year, I just so happen to have their stats from last year. Silsbee rushed the ball 284 times Silsbee passed the ball 249 times I guess the only thing "rare" about them is just how balanced an offense the Tigers are. ;)

 9.
Let me help you out with the true facts Jay. The young man I believe you are referring to moved here prior to his 9th grade year. Because of the out of town move he was allowed to repeat 8th grade. The family took advantage of the great Redshirt-Drop down program at CO Wilson so he repeated his 8th grade at Wilson. Personally, I think the only reason for the move was to drop the boy back in grade for competitive reasons. Apparently, Coach Daddy got too cozy with his secretary and mama found out and abruptly moved  her and the kids to Nederland. Coach Daddy than takes a Houston coaching job and son moves back to live with dad for his 9th grade yr. This young man is actually about 6'1" at best and is a shooting guard. It is true English allowed him to play with the summer teams, but he played with the incoming sophomore's who will make up the JV team. English knew he probably would not stay, so he would not allow him to play with the varsity until he registered this fall. What is funny, Coach Daddy did call English just last week to inform him Little Johnny was going to stay and play for Nederland. Last I heard Johnny did not enroll at Nederland. English did not recruit this player or any player for that matter. It will be interesting to follow this young man, for last I knew he couldn't play for Coach Daddy's Houston (varsity) team, cause daddy didn't live in the district he was coaching in. I say let him be forced to play for dad. At least the Soap opera appears to be gone from Nederland. We don't want any distractions.  :o
You sure about that? ;)
So did this kid go thru all the summer programs and been practicing w/the team since 2 a-days?I could see this as a issue among players that have been if another walks on and plays. It would never fly @Dayton ::) ;)
Kristain has been there since day 1 of football practice.
