It's Senior Night at the Tiger Diamond as the #8 Silsbee Tigers play host to the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns in the 21-3A district finale for both teams, TONIGHT at 7pm. Hamshire-Fannett (12-9, 2-7) comes off a close loss to district champ Bridge City, 3-1, and look to finish their disappointing season on a winning note. Silsbee (17-7, 6-3) #8 in this weeks SETX poll, got a 2-1 win over WOS to secure a playoff spot and the #2 seed. Silsbee will play either Coldspring or Liberty in the Bi-District round. Silsbee defeated Hamshire-Fannett 3-2 in the first half of district. Silsbee will be honoring these seniors tonight: Garrett Drake, Ross Lightfoot, Jacob Murray, Colby Jenkins, Michael Simmons, Heath Donalson and Jerry Self. There are several reasons why Cross left Lamar PA, none of which were health reasons. This was a mutual agreement but in reality, he left before getting the boot.

Silsbee (16-7, 5-3) #7 in this week's SETX polls, are on a 3 game losing streak after being upset by Hardin-Jefferson Tuesday night 7-5. WOS (9-13, 3-5) come off a loss to district leading Bridge City, 11-1, and the Mustangs are clinging to playoff hopes with just 2 games remaining.
