Jasper beats Center...jasper would play Navasota the 2nd round..CS or Lamarque 3rd round..then reg. championship Center beats Jasper...jasper would play WOS  the 3rd round..then reg. championship.. I hate these type of senerio's but it seems like you see a team you beat easily during the year advance further during the playoffs..
Which team or teams you speaking of that Jasper beat easily and will advance further?
 2. [Hidden Content] Locals in these polls: 5A #15 La Porte #17 PA Memorial 4A #4 Dayton #6 Nederland #11 Summer Creek #20 Vidor 3A #6 WO-S #13 Coldspring 2A #3 Newton 1A #12 San Augustine
 3.
LaPorte and PAM 5 & 6? Y'all need to quit having a poll. Those two teams would beat any of the 4 teams in front of them by comfortable margins.
and some folks continue not to get it. ::) These rankings aren't necessarily about who could beat who. When you combine 3 classifications, you just cannot rank the teams in that regard. Other factors are considered in these rankings.
 4.
Will they return next year if so is a possibilty for them to be on varsity
Will they return? What does that mean? Have these two young men left Silsbee school?

A four-way tie is on the edge of the realm of possibility, but not at all probable. Go Anahuac!  Just win over Kountze and put an end to the confusion!
Who said woodville would beat Newton?
Just like who said warren would beat woodville.. Anything could happen. its most likely not going to happen but still.
The 5 way tie would happen with a Woodville loss, Kountze and Warren win.
Oopps.  You are correct, the 5-way tie would be with a Woodville loss.  But then you have a team going to the playoffs with a loosing record, which really gets under my skin.  I know it happens a lot in this insane "UIL-gone-crazy" system that we have, but it is still ridiculous.
I thought I explained all this in the first post of this thread. ::) I am sitting here looking at 10-2A DI standings. There is a possibility that 5 teams could end up tied for that 3rd and final spot. Kirbyville is 3-3, Woodville is 3-3, Anahuac is 3-3, Kountze 2-4, Warren 2-4. All 5 could end district at 3-4. If Kirbyville loses to Warren, Anahuac loses to Kountze, Woodville loses to Newton, that would create the 5 way tie for the final spot. Crazy!!! Figure that one out!
Since I broadcast the game, I will not be able to get out of the press box till about 20 minutes after the game. Then have to load up the equipment. I can meet at front of gym about 30-40 minutes after game is over.

And we will hopefully get to play thee winner of so called hard side. I just hope WOS goes to the playoffs without any injuries and keeps playing great defense and winning ball games like I know they can. AggiesWeAre, are we still on for that c-note bet for Friday?
Yep. I got Silsbee +10
 11.
Just curious as I don't have time to research, someone please tell me why LaMarque is DII when they just dropped down to 3A?
Mainly because Stafford and West Columbia have larger enrollments. But LaMarque the last two seasons had been playing 4A with 3A numbers. That school's enrollment is dropping at an alarming rate.
 12.
It's really fun to read the various posts about games in Southeast, Texas.  It will always be home to me.  One thing people need not forget, WO-S 'aint gonna fool Silsbee and Silsbee 'aint gonna fool WO-S.  The blood-lines of coaching in Silsbee run deep.  Stud McGallion taught his boys the football protocols and the fundamentals of coaching and "kid mentoring".  WO-S has the same in Cornel Thompson.  They all come from great stock.  I think WO-S will win, I do.  Remember this, Silsbee plays lights out against us "most of the time" and will be well-prepared come friday night.  It will be Southeast, Texas football fun and all posters should respect what both coaches bring to the table.  I hope both teams come out 112% healthy and represent our area well in the playoffs....  Go Mustangs....
Excellent post!!

I hear he could be cleared by the first playoff game and at the latest. The 2nd round game.
jkb, you would be wise to follow AAW.  He's always at the front of the line checking on matters concerning WO-S.  ;)
::) You would be surprised how much info I receive without even asking for it. ;) (and not just WO-S info)

But you give me Shaq which class 3A San Antonio Cole had when he was in high school, I'll take the dominant post player. ;) ;D
I bet Shaq had some nice guards to play with and get him the ball.
They were okay, nothing to brag about. In the state championship game, on several occasions Shaq led the fast break.
