I thought Coach Wueller deserved another year based on what he has done this year and with sub levels. But when you hire a new AD (Haynes) sometimes they will hire their "buddies" in other coaching positions. ;)

Silsbee will be hosting their summer tourney on June 28-29 (Friday & Saturday). Will be a 16 team field, with pool play followed by bracket play. Pool play will start at noon on Friday with bracket play to start noon on Saturday. Will be a Gold, Silver and Bronze bracket. The tourney concludes the week of the Silsbee Tiger Summer Camp. More info will be posted as teams sign up.

Silsbee senior short stop Montana Garcia signed scholarship with Louisiana State University-Eunice to continue his baseball career. LSU-Eunice is a top baseball program. Congrats Montana and good luck at the next level.

Of the returnees, Silsbee will have the district MVP (Gore) Pitcher of Year (Powell) 1st team first baseman(Griffin) 2nd team catcher (Leblanc) 2nd team DH (Hartman) Tigers lose starters Garcia (SS), Thibideaux (3B), Valencia (LF), Shellhammer (CF). I see Hartman playing 3rd when not pitching, Gore moving to SS with Armstrong playing 2B. Nesbit and Elers will play two of the outfield positions. That really just leaves filling one outfield spot and 3B when Hartman pitches (possibly Powell could play that position). Kirkendoll (JV player) probably gets one of those starting positions. Silsbee will make another deep run in playoffs.
