I guess he got tired of all those D1 recruits, JV all-district players, and constant online efforts to win by display of all-time records.

Just like HD dominated Hardin, right? Oh wait...nevermind...that was Woodville lol and surely your comment wasn't directed towards my girls sports comment. Lol that would be quite dumb.

Lol yeah, I'd imagine we'd send you home sad in our girls sports as well. Didn't y'all lose to Hardin? Ya know, the only team we beat in district?

eagleswoodville#1 got a reaction from BlackShirts5 in Andre Johnson wants out of Houston
The only choice he has on the matter is to retire or ask for a trade that Houston will not make. I doubt he will retire. And a future HOF receiver for a decent back-up QB? Seriously? Lol

Oh and FYI. Johnson has not said a word about "wanting out of Houston". Just that he was frustrated and questioning his placement there. Rightfully so.

But this is a team with the same core players that won back-to-back division crowns in 2011 and 2012. And won two playoff games. They did go 2-14 last year but I believe that stemmed from a lack of discipline and respect for Kubiaks system. Which was on Kubiak. So they got rid of him and brought in a guy who demands respect at every level.

Andre will be just fine. He's frustrated and needs some time to think. At the end of the day, he will be in Houston.

Yes I know. Channel 6 news said the other day that we are the only softball team left in SETX. That's why I said that.

Their front court will be the best in the nation if Cameron Ridley develops at the rate he has been and Prince Ibeh can improve. Should be interestig to watch.

I don't agree. And I saw him play twice. He's a heck of an athlete and leader. But when it comes to playing the quarterback position...well...he doesn't lol his arm is nowhere near the level it needs to be I make him an elite QB. Even at the highschool level. He's a player, for sure. But I wouldn't call him "one of the best QB's in SETX". Because this year, there a lot of quarterbacks id put over him on that list.

Trash? Lol wow. Last time I checked, "trash" teams didn't come anywhere near making the playoffs. Ya know, like Woodville did in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012. Not to mention a district championship in 2005 and a playoff win over the #14 ranked team in the state at the time, New Waverly, in 2010. I know we aren't dominant year in and year out but geez. Lol someone sounds bitter.

I think if they head football coach qualifies to be the AD then that's fine. But schools shouldn't deny another qualified applicant just because he's not a football coach. It shouldn't be a combo position. It should be two separate positions, that have the possibility of being a combination with ANY coaching spot.

Okay, obviously A&M has a better class in 14 and 15. But has any school on Texas besides them had a better class? Texas has the best 2015 class in the Big 12 which hosts two of Texas' competitiors and Oklahoma, who recruits primarily out of Texas. Not to mention Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and Kansas, who all recruit Texas very heavily. So other than Texas A&M I don't see where your "passed up" argument is valid at all. Yes, A&M has had more success recently. Wanna cookie? Texas is still the premier college football program in Texas. And whether an Aggie fan will admit it or not, they are the most popular university in Texas. Look at A&M's classes back from when they were going .500, it wasn't anywhere near Texas. Recent success influences a draft class pretty heavily.

Actually, when you look at it from a "Texas" standpoint instead of a local fans, it was something they had to do. You can't offer a full athletic scharship to a kid that you aren't absolutely positive on. I agree that he's a great athlete, but me, as well as the Texas staff, aren't completely sure that he will be able to contribute to the team. That's why they've told him he needs to prove it to them. When and if he does that, he will get the scholarship he deserves. He's a great kid and a great football player. But when there are limits on how many scholarships you can hand out, coaches are very careful and concise when picking out recipients for these scholarships. Not everyone will be happy about it, but that's college football. By the way, Charlie didn't offer a scholarship to Shaw. Coach Brown did. When Charlie was evaluating his commitments, he decided to pull the scholarship because he wasn't 100% sure that Shaw could contribute as well as he needs him to.
