Planned or not you do not blind side someone 50 feet from the fight. Also if you knew LCM was going to try and do it then that to me even shows less restraint on your part.

I agree I had seen that and thought maybe it was an "assumption" but then spoke with a friend that said it was a OBVIOUS punch to the back of the head that was unseen, uncalled, and not videoed. Yet this time it is caught on video and an apology is submitted. Burn me once shame on you burn me twice shame on me. I won't be burnt twice 2 in one season in my book is a pattern.

Did Tarkington have Refs for the Varsity game? Or did the coaches have to call it like they did for Middle School and JV game? 

This basketball ref battle of power needs to stop NOW. 

I will say this I USED to be a HUGE McCain fan, after seeing the video that I saw, I am no longer. Very cowardly act. Huge difference in my book of protecting yourself and sucker punching someone 50 feet from the skirmish

If I am going to Florida for vacation, the second my wheels hit the road heading there, I am on vacation.... According to UIL Baseball practice can officially begin today. 

HJ will be young but should be very competitive. New coach is a no nonsense baseball guy, the kids have really taken to him. Looking forward to a solid (hopefully injury free) year for all. 

Crickets..................Yet when baseball starts Mr. Ump's feed will be full of the bleacher umpires waxing poetically the down falls and short comings of the misguided blue's out to steal the game from their team. They will be stating game situations, umpire's view and how they were out of position, and quoting the rule book verbatim

I grew up a Vidor Pirate, and now I am a HJ Hawk as my son's play for them. With that said I have ALWAYS had to have WOS on my radar. I can easily say this in this area WOS is the Alabama of high school football always tough always physical and always on top of the district. Over the years they have lost a few, (even some to my Mighty Pirates), but they always bounce back strong and that you have to respect. 

I stand by my quote, any team that wins any competition is the better team that night. Sure they may play 20 more times and lose everyone of them but on THAT night in THAT game they were the better team. Turn overs, ref's, crowd noise, weather, injuries, or athletes that are "distracted" are all part of ANY competition and both teams are faced with it on any given game. As football fans we all have that small seed of hope for the big underdogs and that very reason is because we all know that on any given night during any give mismatch that the underdog team has that chance of being the better team that night. That chance of the left uppercut from no where, or the rookie 9th hole hitter with the grand slam, the Cinderella story winning the Masters. It happens and as a team or competitor that loses you brush yourself off and say they were the better team that night.

100% agree, on that game night that the winning team was better.

All we can do is speculate based on scores from the same opponent.  Which doesn't always prove anything...but I'm betting that Liberty plays WOS a lot better than HJ did.

If HJ had 17 and Liberty had 14 that is easy to conclude that HJ was the better team

I will say again...I feel as though Liberty would win if they played again.  But they won't.  I had a buddy at the game and he told me Liberty had 3 or 4 unforced turnovers.  Including one that gave HJ the ball in the last minute.  I was told Liberty had a few hundred yards on the ground but kept coughing the ball up... so something happened.  Again... I don't care.  I picked HJ in my pickems.  All I did was give an explanation as to why.

Wow did your friend tell you the final score was 17-14 HJ won as far as the outcome of them playing 100 more times, I guess we will never know will we?

Saw Liberty band had a drone filming their half time show, pretty good idea if you ask me.

Last week Liberty joined WOS in a ranking of some kind...which is most definitely a first for these Liberty kids.  Then...a buddy of mine told me that Liberty's town "fair" was last week and that the kids didn't even go to school half of the week.  In which case several of the kids most definitely slept in every day they were out...and probably stayed up late.  Then I see this guy coming on this site and talking about the Liberty/WOS game... I'm not saying that all of the kids were overlooking HJ.  I'm not saying the coaches were overlooking HJ.  But...somebody was.  And if one person was, chances are there were a few more. 

That is a lot of distractions for a bunch of 17 year old kids.  And to be honest...that's why I picked HJ to win in my pickems.  Not that I'm the guru of predicting high school football games.  But my reasons panned out in this instance.

Seriously?????? Yes you are right because NO other 17 year old kid in the world has a distraction as rough as a town fair or sleeping in late... that is the dumbest excuse I have yet to see on this board.
