When I was younger all I heard from the gay community whether in the newspapers or tv was "we just want to be accepted, that is all". Once that happened, that was not enough and then here we are. If you don't acknowledge and protest and join in all their causes you are a homophobe. 

Pretty absurd.  He was respectful about it.  Nobody should be forced to be woke.  If they'd have had a "back the blue" night, the same folks crapping all over Provorov would herald a player who refused to participate as a hero.

That is exactly what the Jan. 6th committee was about. There was no collaborating and creating then. It was simply about smearing Trump. If it were a serious committee why were there only 2 repubs on the panel (and they were both anti-Trumpers). Jim Jordan was told he was not allowed on the committee by Adam Schiff, which by the rules is all on the up and up I guess. No cross examination of the facts was allowed by any person the committee was going after. The hearings were in the basement and no one allowed to attend.
Now that the shoe is on the other foot it is not ok for those same rules to be applied. I think this is going to get interesting.

IMO it's premature to fire someone over allegations that were almost immediately retracted.  But I don't have access to the evidence, and I'm sure the powers that be at UT are able to get it.  I expect the charges to be dropped fairly soon.  How can you take someone to trial when the alleged victim is saying "I lied about him choking me, and told the police as much that night before they even arrested him.  All of my other minor injuries were a result of him defending himself against me."  That said, I never expected him to survive this in today's ultrawoke climate.  I'll never support a wife beater, but I'll also never support an atmosphere where the mere allegation that somebody did something leads to the immediate cancellation of their entire life.  

My dad took me to watch David Clyde pitch in high school. He truly was a man among boys.

A committee made of of Trump haters pushed this forward. Liz Cheney cannot go away and hide in her daddies basement fast enough. If this Congress were serious about going after criminals, that presidents crackhead son would be in prison already and he would not be far behind.

Hoops, there have been some really good stories come out over the last week. 
As a UT fan, he frustrated the hell out of me at times but he was just a different guy with a different perspective on things. 
He will be missed in college sports.

Just another example of “after money comes power”. James has more money than he knows what to do with.  Since money no longer matters, what does he strive for?.......Power/Influence. I am a Barbers Hill transplant as most of us are and this kinda offends me a little anyway. You say Tradition when you talk about PNG or Nederland like they have always been at the top or even good. Tradition = Heart??? Here are some numbers that I could find. I went 20 years, because I don't know how long tradition is? Nederland 554-376-35 Last 20 years 161-76 PNG 589-345-33 Last 20 years 147-77  BH 577-309-27 Last 20 years 153-65  Crosby 451-418-33 Last 20 years 145-84. Wheres the extra tradition or heart or mindset that you are talking about that yall have east of the trinity? They look like the same programs to me. Crosby is on a roll now, but the last 20 years are not that impressive. Barbers Hill lost a lot last year more than the numbers they lost the leadership of a few that had been starting since their Soph. year. You can't replace that right away. I will take Crosby & Barbers Hill for the next 10 years in all sports

So with these schools shootings, people are calling for more armed officers at school, more metal detectors, more mental health awareness. Does anybody else not see that if you need armed police officers, metal detectors, mental health professionals at school the problem is within the schools and  not the guns. The problem is there is no discipline in schools. How dare a a teacher use corporal punishment on your kid, because your kid never does wrong. Its the other kids fault, it's the teachers fault, we discourage personal responsibility and we act dumbfounded when a kid just continues to make decisions based on the sad fact that they have never faced real  consequences for their actions. The problem is we think kids are innocent of evil desires but they are not. We act like the music they listen to, the books they read, or the media they use has no influence over their actions. Then we got teachers and administrators who find their worth as people based on if the kids like them, instead of making them learn, we got teachers and administrators with no backbone and just do what they are told without worrying about the implications of their spineless decision making.  We got teachers who agree with the absurdity of boys and girls should use the same bathrooms and locker rooms. We have boys winning girls sporting events in the name of tolerance for the LGBT perversion.
Well people we tolerate a lot of bogus political correctness ideology in schools up to this point, so we might just have to tolerate school shootings now. Sadly nothing happens overnight and neither was this travesty we built, called modern public education.
 
So the finger needs to be pointed at the people who said " Corporal punishment is wrong"  the people who say "kids with mental health issues should be allowed in schools", those who think its ok for kids with gang affiliation to be in a school to start with, blame people who say "we should think based on our feelings not on what is true", blame those who say " George Washington is bad ,but Che Guevara is good"  and we should blame those who hate God so much that the mere reference to God in schools or to pray in Jesus name is ,in these progressive minded people, the downfall of a western society. Blame the guns if you want, but whatever you do, never blame the evil that lies in each of our own hearts, and never demand from yourself and your children any type of moral excellence.
 
High schools are just a microcosm of the problem in society and the real problem is that our society is immoral, hedonistic, narcissistic  and godless. Our culture believes nothing is wrong so don't you dare judge me, and that God will never judge us for our sins, but our conscience tells us that  there is moral truths that

When all football players are required to make the playoffs in order to graduate, then you can award Merit Pay for the playoffs. 
Don't forget Title IX. You will need to pay ALL coaches and all will be required to make the playoffs to earn that extra pay.

Should the english teacher get a bonus for all their kids passing the staar test. No its expected of them. Shouldn't we expect the coach to get his kids to the playoffs, that's what he's paid for in the first place.
