Not at all.
WOS helps us make noise in the playoffs every year. Though we've never won the big one we will always chase it. It's a shame to me that anyone from the Cove would bow down to adversity, even if it feels self-inflicted or forced upon them. Embrace the chance to rebuild whatever has been lost. That's what a legacy team should and would do.
Be WOS and everything else will fall in place when the time is right, or dont...
I dont want to see WOS football go away but humbling times can be a stronger foundation.

STiger85 reacted to AggiesAreWe in Silsbee QB Mason Brisbane and LB Jayron Williams
Everyone talks about Silsbee WR Drelon Miller and the great season he is having and rightfully so. He is a phenomenal athlete and having a super season so far. Thru 7 games (with several of those being very limited in 2nd half) he has 20 rushes for 288 yards (14.4 per carry) 3 TD's and 30 receptions for 873 yards (29.1 per catch) 12 TD's. He also has a kickoff return for a TD. All purpose yards of 1305, 16 TD's. Like I said, he is the buzz talk. I love me some Drelon Miller!!
But I want to point out a couple of other Tiger players who are having great seasons. QB Mason Brisbane is having one of the best seasons a Silsbee QB has ever had. He is 86-132 (65%) for 1637 yards (234 per game) 20 TD's with just 2 INT's. QB rating of 140.7. This is as good as I have seen a Silsbee QB have in quite some time. The 65% completion rate is astronomical when it comes to Silsbee QB's. Usually it's somewhere around 48-54%. His decision making has been super this season. One thing that really does go unnoticed is how well he performs the play action. Mason really "sells" it. This senior QB is one of the big reasons as to why Silsbee is having a great year offensively.
The other player is senior LB Jayron Williams. He was a Willie Ray Smith finalists last year and with the season he is having so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see him win it this year. Williams has 95 tackles (80 solo) with 18 tackles for loss. He also has 5 sacks and 1 INT and 1 FG blocked. He is the bell cow on the defensive side of the ball like Miller is on the offensive side. Jayron also contributes on the offensive side as well. He has a total of 8 TD's (6 rushing, 2 receiving). He's the go to dude on goal line and short yardage situations.
There are other Tiger players having very good seasons but I just wanted to give these two young men a shout out.
Great season so far Mason and Jayron. Keep up the great work.

I don’t think it was a fake punt, so to say. He had pressure from one side and instead of maybe getting it blocked he took off to the other side.

STiger85 got a reaction from Silsbee92 in Van Wade- It's time for West Orange-Stark fans to rise up for Mustang student athletes
You mean The Tigermustangs!!! This so like when Silsbee hired Coach Smith. People wanted a coach and the school board hired another coach, an outsider. How dare they. People griped and complained all season, sat up in the stands and yelled and hollered at the new coaches. Coach Smith brought in almost all new coach, a new offense and a new defense, you had to have more discipline to run. Only a couple of returning starters coming back. After we lost in the playoffs to Carthage on a last second hail mary pass people sat up in the stands yelling for coach to go back to Houston and take his coaches with him. But, the next year we won district, went three rounds in the playoffs, losing to Carthage again. The complainers were less quiet. Then, the third year BAM, a state simi final game and the next year another state simi final game. I don't hear any complainers now. Change is difficult at first, hard to get ahold of. But, most of the time change brings on the same ways as before, Expecially if the whole community is behind it. If the sky is falling, be one of the ones that holds up the clouds so people don't get lost in the daze. I'm one of the ones that think WOS will be just fine. They have the athletes and talent to overcome change, does the whole football program have the community to help with the change.
