Priceless. Kids make the world go around. You described it so well, I could see her with her hands on her hips with that “look”. I have no daughters but I have a grand daughter who will probably have a similar attitude. lol
 My 10 year old son came up to me while I was in my recliner and asked very nicely if he could go ride the 4 wheeler. It was an automatic Kodiak 400 which was really too big for him (his feet didn’t touch the floor boards), but he could operate it anyway. I told him to knock himself out….. It’s what I bought the automatic for so he could ride it. Little did I know that he had already asked his mom, who was sitting across the room, if he could ride it and she had told him no, not until he did some chores for her. She said “Cody, I already told you no a while ago.” He told her,” Hey, you’re always butting in when I’m talking to my Dad.” I almost covered my head when he said that (flying objects), but looked over at my wife, and like Hagar, we could do nothing but laugh or butts off. He didn’t even get scolded and got to ride the 4 wheeler anyway. Thanks for listening. Something I’ll never forget. 

We live in a great country; a country that is great because of struggles we have been through together and the selfless sacrifice of others that have gone on before us.  May we put aside differences today, enjoy family, cherish the ones we have with us and remember those that have blessed our lives.  Have a Merry Christmas and may we pray for a great new year of 2022.

I feel COVID, vaccines and cards are a global conditioning tool towards compliance for the mark and other prophetic situations. Small steps need to be made so some won’t see the big picture. JMO

As my feeble brains remembers things, I have to pass them along before it hits delete.  This was a humorous situation.  As I remember, my daughter was about 13 or 14 in her first or second year of Jr High.  At the age when you had to wear “the in thing”.  In this period it was Guess jeans, which were relatively expensive.  We could get 2 or 3 regular jeans for the cost of the Guess.  My daughter was insisting she had to have a pair.  Like most families in that stage of life, money was a never ending struggle.  She confronted me, hands on hips.  All 5’ of her with “that look” on her face, saying, “Dad, I’ve got to have a pair of those jeans”.  I stared down at her, wishing we had the money to get her a pair without worrying about how we’d pay the electric bill and said, “I’m sorry baby but I don’t make enough money that we can afford them”.  She paused, just a moment.  Just long enough for me to think I’d made my point - end of crisis.  Then, with that look on her face that all females possess (an evolutionary trait?), she said, “Well   get   another   job”!  Each word pronounced loudly, with a pause between each.  First came shock, followed by a burst of laughter.  
 
It’s one of those priceless moments I’ll take to the grave.  Four years later, her brother went into the Marines, we could afford to get her those jeans.  He was an eating machine.  As a Soph, he had an eating contest between him and a Senior on the football team, who was 6’5” & weighed 260.  My son made him holler uncle (he takes after his mother, lol).

Just watched my oldest G’daughter walk across the stage with her Masters Degree.  Not a bad legacy for someone who had to brownose his HS English teacher 🥴.  Proud of her.  Wasn’t a gift.  She worked full time while getting this.  At my age and health, not many special days left but wanted to share this one with y’all.  Got my oldest G’son coming home on leave from the Marines tomorrow.  Be glad to see him.  Setting up to be a good Christmas.

I might be partial but I absolutely love 2A football. It's the "blue collar" ball...lol. Texas' bigger schools look like most other college teams with 300lb'ers everywhere and million dollar facilities...and the news is mostly about the numerous D1 scholarships they have. These kids have baggy pants and cleats that are too big/small...lol. (standard issue) These are your future working class folks that will be the backbone of this great nation in the future. Yup, you play both ways and special teams too...these young men will carry that "gotta have you" mindset into whatever it is they do in life.
