My Father grew up poor living on a house boat and helping his Dad trap and shrimp for a living. He made a good life for himself but never forgot his childhood and never left me forget how comfortable I had it and to work hard to keep it.

I wouldn’t want to be poor. Worked too hard to get a little bit ahead. But, some people today think being poor is a little different than I recall when I was growing up literally dirt poor. I get it....High Island is really on an island for a school that size...the travel is insane....it might just be better for their budget to play small charters etc in the Houston area

No doubt the poor do well in this country. I recently saw a congressman in a committee not sure which state he was from make a statement that a single mom making $12k a year qualified for about $62000 in benefits. Food, Housing, Healthcare, Childcare etc. Unbelievable
