  1. Silsbee assistant coach Ira Brooks will be coaching his last home game tomorrow night. Coach Brooks will be retiring at the end of this season. Coach Brooks has been coaching at Silsbee for 32 years. He has been a mainstay and key component to the success of the Tiger Basketball program. His JV teams have always been successful and have won many district championships even when several freshmen and sophomores were playing varsity. Coach Brooks has earned the respect and love from many coaches in our area. He has been a fantastic coach but an even better man. He will be missed. Congrats to my friend Ira.

  3. This is almost assuredly the most talented team Orangefield has had, led by easily the best player I’ve seen in the 30 years I’ve followed them. Also very happy for a guy who has been one of the best coaches in SETX for years in Whitmire. The one thing that worries me for the playoffs is not having really been challenged since district began (other than at EC sort of). Hoping their depth and experience at the varsity level more than makes up with something they had no control over.

  7. Everything except abortions Democratic platforms seek to promote free trade, social programs, labor unions, consumer protection, workplace safety regulation, equal opportunity, disability rights, racial equity,[4] regulations against environmental pollution,[5][6][7] and criminal justice reform.[8] Democrats support abortion rights, the LGBT community, and a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.[9][10] Democrats typically agree with the scientific consensus on climate change and favor a multilateral approach in foreign policy.[10][11]

  8. Folks like hime are indeed rare in schools today. A lot of schools are used as a stepping stone to move on up.

  9. So the Trump administration does an independent review of the shooting and concluded that the agents lied, have been relieved of duty and are facing termination and criminal charges. First, it kind of puts a damper on the continued claim in all law enforcement cases that everything is covered up. Secondly it is apparently the Trump administration that broke the news. I don’t think anyone on any side of an issue has a problem with going after crooked law enforcement officers.

  15. Because they’d lose their communist grip on their states. It’s called election fraud. That’s the only way Democrats can win. They can’t win in the arena of ideas and debate.

  20. Yep. People’s retirements are doing well. Still not a fan of tariffs. Prefer free trade. But, it wasn’t free trade anyway, and maybe the tariffs will be a way to reset and get there. That’s why I’m semi okay with them for a bit to see.

  21. I’m not really sure if sexual assault of a child would be a state crime or federal in this scenario. Interesting question. You keep mentioning Ghislaine Maxwell. Did you look up her father, his death & official funeral? I’ve been dropping hints. Quite a murky story. @Reagan post with email attachments about 9/11 meetings add another layer.

  22. This is Trumps Secretary of Commerce who’s right next to him almost every time he speaks. The guy lived next door to Epstein in NY with only a wall separating them. This must be one of friends he afraid of hurting who perjured himself in front of the Judiciary Hearing last week by lying. Again he just can’t get out of his own way and is tone deaf because of his narcissism.

  24. Someone should create a meme. Messie & Moronna They’re tainting any possible jury pool so bad, you’d think it was planned. They’d have to pick a jury pool from another planet even if they were to ever bring charges against anyone. These members of Congress saying someone’s going to jail is a joke. Congress doesn’t have the authority to do anything but refer to—who?—DOJ for criminal prosecution. Duhhh…

  29. Just received confirmation on 22-3A tiebreaker policy on 3 way ties. They do not go with the better record of the three. District policy has the teams do coin flips. The team that wins the flip receives the bye. The other two teams will play and the winner of that game plays the team with the bye for the 4th place spot. These games (if necessary) will likely be played next Friday night and Saturday. If it's just a two tie with Kountze and Warren, they will play to decide the 4th spot due to them splitting in district. If it's a tie with Kountze and Kirbyville, Kountze would get 4th based on their district sweep of Kirbyville.

  30. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say Kountze is losing Tuesday…. Just a hunch 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  31. Warren beat Kountze the first time around. Only three teams are in the mix for 4th. Kountze (6-7), Warren (5-8) and Kirbyville (5-8)

  32. Agreed, not to mention Dischler who was similar (great athlete, not a basketball player). I think that’s all this team is really missing this year, which is one of the many reasons I wish Gonzales had played this year.

Elon Musk talked about this on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Literally save hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars. Money being paid to folks older than the oldest person on earth and some that have yet to be born. He said folks from both sides have their hand in the cookie jar but much much more by the democrats, 85-90% if I recall.

  34. As far as the attitude and character of Orangefield's team, yes they had some immature moments for sure. If you have watched them lately or been around the team at all you would see that Whitmire has done a pretty good job of getting those situations in check. The boys understand what they've done wrong and how it affects the team and have done a good job of improving their behavior and correcting their mistakes. This team, on paper and on the court, have proven that they can play ball. They get better, as a cohesive unit, every week and are really playing great team ball right now. Go look at the stats and check out the assist column for sure. Jaden Scales is arguably the best player in this area and the best player Orangefield has had in a very long time. His vision, shooting ability, and comprehension of the game is unmatched. He's a great leader and teammate. Yes, they average 79pts per district game, and maybe that does come from playing in a weaker district, but the fact they hold their opponents to under 42 points a game great. Their defense is smothering. Their conditioning is unmatched. They are sprinting the floor in the fourth quarter while the other team is walking. Another great quality is the depth. They can sub in 4 at a time keep on clicking if they wanted to. Am I biased, sure. But the facts are what they are. They are fun to watch and they are great group of kids. If you haven't had a chance to watch them play, I highly encourage you to come out and do so. They have Hardin tomorrow night and Kountze on Tuesday to finish up district. Both are at home. You won't be sorry.
