  1. This should be simple but apparently not. There are three branches of government in the Constitution for the separation of powers. One of those is the Executive Branch which is the president and everyone that answers to the president. Article II starts with: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. Trump fired some bureaucrats from his administration. A federal judge stepped in and said you can’t do that and issued an injunction. The federal judge acted like the Executive Branch is like a union and the head of the Executive Branch, the president, has no control over who serves him without just cause… as approved the the Judicial Branch. An appeal to the Ninth Circus got the same result with a 2-1 vote that the Constitution was wrong and the executive Power doesn’t lie with the president but the Judicial Branch who gets to determine if the president can fire his own bureaucrats. Hmmmmm…. can we say the separation of powers? So an appeal to the Supreme Court resulted in an 8-1 ruling staying the injunction. The ruling was that the government would likely win if the case was fought in trial and then all the way to the Supreme Court where Article II says that the POWER of the Executive Branch will be in a president. Even Kagan and Sotomayor even agreed that yeah, that’s in the very first sentence of Article II. The only dissent was from, you guessed it, Brown Jackson. She is a kook. Her opinion is that the president doesn’t have complete control over the entire Executive Branch…. as is listed in the Constitution. If this was a private enterprise company and the owner wanted to fire an employee, the owner could not do so unless a judge agrees? No wonder she couldn’t define a woman..…..🤣🤣🤣

    11-5A D1 2025 Season

I think the Crosby folks have already had their say in a thread "Crosby 2025". I think the key for them is better QB play, an area they were lacking last year to make up for the fact that they're not likely to have another RB as good as Yarbrough. They also lost Windfont on defense who will be hard to replace.

  9. Just felt I could raise him better, in a more stable environment, and that he shouldn’t have to suffer because she decided she wanted out of our marriage. If we’d had a girl, I probably would have supported all I could—but not pursued managing custody. I would have felt she could’ve connected better with a daughter. Of course, she’s been through 3 husbands since. So, a daughter wouldn’t have had it great either I guess. Meanwhile, I’ve been married to my sweetheart, and lived in the same house, for 35 years. It took a lot for a man to get custody back in the ‘80’s in Texas. I was in and out of court for 5 years. Spent just about every dime I had because she kept accusing me of all kinds of stuff. You know the drill. As a man in a custody battle—guilty until proven innocent.

  10. That would be Kaleb Jammer, WR who was the leading receiver last year in predistrict, but broke his ankle before district. HIs brother Kasen , a CB, was named defensive newcomer of the year for the district as a soph last year. They have quite an NFL connection; their father Quentin Jammer was a CB in the NFL for 12 years and their uncle, Quandre Diggs was a safety in the NFL 10 years. With the Titans last yeat, he had a lisfrank injury and at 32 may not get another chance to play. While with the Titans, he put in a good word for his cousin, Cam Ward, who they drafted with the 1st pick. Kasen's DC Gilbert Gardner Jr., an Angleton grad, was a LB in the NFL for several years. I hope to see Kasen in the NFL too. The WR I'm waiting to see is Juel Peterson who was 2nd team all-district as a freshman at a Houston 6A, transferred and spent last year on Angleton's JV. He's also a kick returner. As for the defense, they should be ok. Three of the starters received post season honors, DL Brynden Mack was named honorable mention all-state by TSWA, TraeVonne Latimer was 2nd team all district and Kasen Jammer, the defensive newcomer. The new starters have been running this defense since 7th grade so I expect by district play they will be in fine form.

We have lost some precious people along the way and we have some on here who have families that will continue to be in my prayers. Thank you Southeast Texas for showing a welcomed hospitality. Shout out to Groves Tx for showing love when I passed through doing hurricane season. Thanks again from the Palmetto State 🌴
