I’ve literally just gained tons of gray hair! Woooooo! I was nervous, but I’m so glad we had some good contributions from some unlikely sources late in the game. Namely the sophomore Payia. Great defensive game plan to deny Morris the ball late in the game. I’m just glad we were able to grit it out! Yes indeed! But how often do we see Arceneaux miss dunks and Yates miss this many shots? Even with a terrible game from our top guys, we found a way to win! Hats off to these kids. These home grown kids. No transfers, straight neighbor kids. Now, one more! On to Saturday!

I was impressed with FFA height/length, but that's it. If Silsbee doesn't miss so many easy shots at the bucket they win that game despite the horrible day shooting the 3-ball.

Silsbee finished 3/25 from three. 20/64 from field. FF length had a lot to do with that shooting percentage. Silsbee with great effort.

United deserves credit for hanging in and getting the win. But Kimball blew this game at the end by not being patient and shooting like there was a shot clock. They did not play like they had a lead which cost them this game.

For Italian food, Paesano's on the river walk is the best. For Mexican, nothing on the walk is good but Mi Tierra at the Market Square is awesome. For steak, Ruth Chris on the river walk.

This is the worst administration, by far, that we have ever seen. The sad thing about is that the people that put them into office are to dumb to realize it. They think they are doing a good job, see big girl and Badsanta to name a couple. And God forbid something happens to biden in the next three years, because kamala is a joke. The whole administration needs to be impeached.

This is huge news. After he was scratched Sunday the UT team showed up flat. Before that injury they had 3 studs that could win a lot of games. I’m sure someone will step up but its a very big blow to UT!

I don't get the bottom tier thing. Maybe a stepping stone to a HC/AD job, but wouldn't you still have to come in and do a good job? Wouldn't that look better on a resume?

Let’s see, kicked off a basketball team in the state tournament, very likely losing the football scholarship he signed and facing up to 20 years in prison (according to what charges are filed) because…. He wanted to be cool? He is a felon who always carry guns and just had not been caught? For some reason he felt extremely threatened while at a heavily guarded event? Obviously there’s nothing even approaching a valid reason for the situation to have happened. He was talented enough to play in the state tournament in basketball and sign a football scholarship to play in college. Apparently that talent did not extend to his thought process. And this has nothing to do with Dallas having a lack of institutional control or an undisciplined team, etc. That all might or might not be true but unless somebody in the school district knew this kid was packing a gun, you can’t blame that on them.

He had been on leave. He pretty much destroyed every athletic program Lamar had with poor decisions and hires. Here is hoping we get somebody good to turn our programs around.

I think it is not the name of he school you are playing but the kind of year they are having. Sure, Lamar beat Rice 2 out of 3 games this year but Rice is 3-10 as of today. Houston Baptist is 6-8 and in the Southland. All in all we get a lot of fool's gold in these pre-conference games and then when conference rolls around we end up near the bottom of the pack. That has been the typical scenario since Gilligan has been gone.

It's also nice seeing my alma mater, HJ, improving. they went about 3 seasons without winning a game, and were losing every game 10-0 or worse. to see them picking up a few wins, and only giving up a couple of goals a game is tremendous improvement.
