People keep asking this.....yet the Falcons keep winning. Isn't it about time we admit that Huffman might be pretty good?

I luv good shooting form. I can't do it, but I know it when I see it. And it doesn't just happen. You gotta practice your technique. Jacobs has obviously been working on his skills. Huffman is a well coached team. They may take the first game. It would take some CGI, or cinema veritae to pull off the 2nd. But who knows? The game mathematically has to be played.

I was videoing, I tried to post it but it’s too big. I will see if I can cut it to put it on here. Some Summer Creek fans and I watched it again and all that watched it agreed it was still in his hand when the light came on. I don’t have a bias, just glad I was there to watch a fantastic game. Coming from 3A basketball that was as physical of a game I’ve watched in high school. There was complaining from both sides but in honesty the refs were just letting them play unless blood was drawn so to speak.

Harvey is the ultimate team player. He does it all and does it well. He lets the opposition pick their poison and makes everyone around him better. I think everyone is kinda getting blinded by the young Tigers. I know the Falcons wouldn't have won this ballgame without Harvey but their next 6 players were underclassmen. They aren't gonna fall off the face of the earth next year. They should match up well against Boerne and could very easily win that ballgame. They do it in a very methodical way but it's a way their coach has them buying into. I don't think they'll have a shot in the title game but I would never have dreamed a month ago when they left Sour Lake they'd be in the state tournament. Congrats to Silsbee on fine season . It's time to give Huffman their due. They are a good ballclub. They are what their record says they are !!

Blow Sand Blow! I think (and hope) United takes it as well. My only concern was a veteran Pg like Lancaster’s Taylor giving them fits. Feel a lot better with them out. I like the Wolves against Kimball or Amarillo.

I have enjoyed watching Gilder Jr and Baltrip. They played a heck of a season and even better in the playoffs. Hate to see them graduate but they will.mlve on to bigger and better things. Im excited to see Silsbee grow up this fast. If we remember, 2014-15, Silsbee lost to Houston Sterling in the Regional Finals. The next 3 years were awesome. Im hoping for a similar type run.

My thought exactly. Huffman was starting to fold under pressure, coughing that thing up like it’s hot. Tigers need more from seniors than air ball 3 and turnover off back to back steals too. Get to the cup more and stop settling for first jumper you see.

Really sucks that Silsbee lost, but great season nonetheless. I just knew they would have a down season after seeing them early. But it was refreshing seeing these young guns grow up right before our eyes. Next couple of seasons will be VERY fun.

This was what I was afraid of with the young Tigers but I didn't see em going 2/28 from behind the arc. That's just a brutal night. The young kids are gonna be legit, no doubt.

Heard the BU game may played tuesday at Delmar in a doubleheader with Huffman....BU may have the early game....5:00 or 5:30.

One thing about the Metroplex, they always have a plan B, and sometimes a plan C. Usually at LEAST 2 teams there perfectly capable of winning it all.

Kimball and Lancaster tied at 64 with 5 seconds left.

I will say that the winner here gets Amarillo and that’s no cake walk either. Sandies perfectly capable of pulling an upset.

Lancaster blew it open in the 3rd Quarter to take an 18 pt lead. Now it’s down to 1 with a minute and change left.

Yeah that lineup starting 2 freshmen and 2 sophomores, hard to believe they got as far as they did. This was definitely the year to give everyone else a chance. And they almost took that away. Great season Tigers! The Region 1 vs Region 2 game should be the de facto state championship game.

My senior year we got an invite to the Kerrville Basketball Festival. At the time, it was a big deal because that was THE holiday tournament in the state and basically only invited ranked teams. I remember sitting in the stands at Tivy HS when the biggest kid is ever seen walked in, with a clock on a chain around his neck ala Flavor Flav. It almost looked like a regular medallion on him. That was Shaq and SA Cole was in our division. Prior to the internet, we had no idea who he was before then. They smoked everyone, including our rival Edgewood (who would go on to win state in 2A that year) in the Finals. And the person was right, it was Shaq and just some other dudes. The Chuckwu kid is a nice player. He is not in the same hemisphere Shaq was in HS. But then again, not many ever have been.
