Hope that moral victory carries well into the off season cause after Friday its basketball time!

To finish the season ranked in the top 10 in the state is a very nice accomplishment for all of the teams that made it. Now it's one game at a time, either win or go home and hang the gear up 'til next season.

That's about 29% more passing than a few years ago, with not too too much exaggeration. Every now and then they'll break one free for a long gain. Their half time show was interesting though as I recall, for whatever that's worth, as well as the student section sitting next to the band, which is typically pretty good. Hope for no injuries.

Is y'all's QB out for the year? Also, even though CS has had a down year by their standards, they played in a good district and will be prepared. I think this will be a very good game.

Predictions came out and Stepp has La Porte winning State. Weiss, Lufkin, Anderson, PAM, Smithson Valley, and Aledo?? Y'all certainly would have earned it lol.

College station will make the long trip to Angleton to take on the Wildcats after finishing the regular season a week early on Halloween at home against Weiss, a game which I watched. They would not have won that game without forcing 4 turnovers by Weiss in the second half, all of which they turned into points.They are not a very big team but have a 275-pound kicker. Rushing seems to be their forte although they do pass some and they run a lot of QB keepers. They used 2 QBs in the game. Angleton will have to protect the ball to have success. They seemed to have trouble stopping the pass, but Weiss had a number of dropped passes in the second half. Angleton, after losing their QB will probably mostly run too. I assume we will see a lot of wildcat plays and hopefully may get some special teams scores. It will be interesting to see what jV players will be called up. Congratulations to the Angleton JV and freshmen teams for finising as 10-0 district champions.

That's what I was wondering. I didn't want to have to pay for a month of NFHS--since I'm already paying for DCTX/TL--to see games being produced by TL. Some games in the past were supposed to only be on NFHS, but they wound up being produced and then broadcast on TL also. I've never seen a broadcast that was actually produced by NFHS themselves. Not sure they even have the capability. Last year, I paid for NFHS, and every game was also on Texan Live. So, I said ‘heck’ may as well just subscribe to DCTX/Texan Live package and get it all.

NFHS has all the rights to Texas High School playoff games. They will use other production companies to broadcast on their platform. I am curious as to why the game is not listed on TL if they are being used to produce broadcast. Several changes to broadcast policies were put into play starting this season. Team school broadcasts now has to get permission from NFHS. Independent broadcast entities have to do the same as always. It's basically why we decided not to go down that video broadcast route here. So much simpler just doing audio.

Question: La Porte has been denied the ability to broadcast the Weiss at La Porte game. Reason for Denial: This game has been assigned to production company Texan Live for exclusive broadcast to the NFHS Network. Does anyone know if this means it won't even be on Texan Live? Do we have to subscribe to NFHS even though they're getting it via TL, or will we still be able to see it on TL also? Seems a little strange for TL to produce, but not be able to show. @Matthew328

Yes, Tarkington "just hasnt got the right coach yet" (for many decades), similar to "Huntington". FYI, Tarkington has a great coach now. You might want to look internally as opposed to blaming every coach in the history of Tarkington ISD. ***Who was the coach prior to Belt? Is he a good coach?

Lufkin in with AMC, CS, KP & some others, and move some of the current 12-5AD1 to R4 districts? Have to make room for IC & Randle. Maybe with Angleton, GB & others? Just seems like UIL may have to add a 5AD1 district to R3 from GHA area.

You dont "out talent" Shepherd at the moment. It will be worse next year, 18 JR starters will be returning for Shepherd.

Tepper picking PNG to win the region was a business decision. There’s always a chance that png could beat SOC like they have once before, but I don’t see it this year.
