PNG played three larger schools in non-district play, had a win over a Top 10 ranked team and beat two other teams that were in the Top 25 of the final computer rankings. Not hating on BC, but their schedule was considerably tougher.

I don’t have a dog in the fight.. I haven’t watched Bridge City once this year but I have watched Navasota…Truth be told they have been a average to above 4A team at times this year… Doesn’t mean at their best they couldn’t be better but we will see

Orangefield (34) Franklin (56)---- FINAL
BBfan061 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
They gave up some points and didn’t look to great defending the pass but the run defense seemed on point. Offensively they did what they wanted to. Ranked to high? Maybe maybe not… but no question who the better team was last night -
Woodville just needs a few stops and its their game

Orangefield (34) Franklin (56)---- FINAL

Do we have a final stat for the game ?? -
The refs were flagging both teams, but watching on TL or whatever, the camera isn't always on the extra side action going on, so I can't say what happened every time. The refs were in a sort of confusion, throwing flags then waving them off, then throwing the flag again. The announcers kept blaming the rain delay, amusingly, saying that it caused "animosity". As far as body slamming, the MP RB, or at least one, was sort of small, and the SOC defenders repeatedly would tackle him by just lifting him up into the air, but i didn't see them body slam, and didn't see the one in question. On the one of the extra points the announcers claimed that 2 or 3 players from both teams were flagged, so offsetting penalties, however the consequence is if any of them got another USC then they would be out of the game. Tough game overall, and I don't think that MP was ready for that type of intensity. If Huntsville gets to play SOC, then it will surely be interesting, IMO, just based on what I saw of Huntsville at PNG this season.

Franklins Offense is good, but overall i think they may be slightly over ranked. But I als may have just set the bar too high I was expecting a phenomenal team overall and was not impressed. I think they may struggle to get out of the region. They just didn't live up to the hype, but again I may have set the bar way to high. I'm off to support Hardin tonight lets go Hornets and District 10. -
The lone blemish on our record came from a game in which our opponents were punished for cheating. Did it cost us the win? I think so, but who cares? But it’s definitely “asterisk worthy.” Why did we move up? I don’t know… you’d have to ask the AD/HC who made that decision-and he’s not in BC anymore. Last I heard he was pimping snocones outside the XYZ gate at Motiva. I’ve given my reasons why I think the move makes SOME sense, but that’s just my opinion. But only a hater would see a school opting UP to face larger schools, then winning district, then notching a playoff win a division above their attendance-based classification as a bad thing.

Not Week 13, but a couple books have lookahead lines posted with A&M currently favored by 2.5 points against Texas on 11/28.

BC: 3 of 11 opponents with winning records. Combined records 50 - 65. Non-district opponents 3A PNG: 6 of 11 opponents with winning records. Combined records 62 - 54. Non-district opponents 6A and 2 5A-1 My point was Bridge City's competition was average this year in response to your statement of "dominating." One would hope with the talent they have this year that they would be winning like they are and continue their great run all the way to Jerry World. I was simply questioning your standard of "domination." Also, you put an * by their record acknowledging they're 10-1, not undefeated. Curious, but what was their reasoning for opting up to 4A-1?
