Reading these comments is beyond frustrating. I’m #13’s dad and have spent a lot of time around these kids at team dinners and other functions outside of the games on Friday night. They have a very tight knit football family and all love and genuinely support each other. The coaches have built and sustained that culture which I believe is the only thing holding this team together after the last two losses. To be successful, its going to take us as parents to continue to support this team in every aspect. Hollering at the coaches and screaming who to play and when needs to stop. It’s not helping. I know your intentions are good and we all want the same thing, but it is only causing fractures and division. We are blessed to have a group of kids like this that support and love each other as much as they do. Let’s do our best to continue to encourage that.

BWB could make the PO's in a 3-way tie. They would need Lufkin to beat LP, and BU to beat RSS. They would then be the #4 seed, assuming they beat GB.

I don't think any one kid costs a game, it's a team. However, dude, I was like 5 rows from your hissy-fit at the game before you got tossed. Right behind the cheerleaders too. If you don't wanna be in people's mouths then don't act a fool. You're kid isn't the best player ever lived.

It’s been a major problem this year . Coach Bass is not paying the players in the best position. Also calling for onside kicks 3 or 4 times a game is ludicrous.. HJ has athletes all over the field but they lack team discipline. I am told they do not condition during season at all. The confusion on the field from poor execution and planning is extremely frustrating to watch. coach Bass is a great man but is not a great tactician or game planner.

I'd have to run a scenario where Lufkin beats LP, and it becomes only a 3-way tie. But--off the top of my head--since Lufkin would automatically become the 3 seed, I think GCM would grab 4. Let me check... LP & PAM are locked into #1 & 2 regardless of anything else that happens. So, we're only looking at 3 & 4 seeds.

Our running game has been pretty good this year, but it’s not a power running game. We have small shifty backs that can break off big chunks, but we’re not a grind it out kind of team. And unlike a lot of teams, our passing game sets up the run instead of the other way around. So with our passing game being somewhat hampered by the weather, and them having some mountains on the line we struggled a little to move the ball after the weather got bad.

I haven't seen Vidor play, but following this message boad, Vidor is believing and they have things rolling! Amazing what confidence and wins will do. Good luck Vidor.

They’re just lucky it rained so hard. We had 3 touchdowns in our first 6 or 7 offensive plays. Broussard woulda dropped 60 on them if there had been dry conditions, and that’s not an exaggeration. They couldn’t stop the pass, even when the monsoon came, it was just a lot tougher to make good throws and catch the ball.

That's how I see it as well. Very costly loss for the Bruins and a vey important win for Lufkin.

If this district ends in a 4-way tie, BWB is on the outside looking in regardless of the outcome of BU vs RSS. This loss may have taken them out of PO contention entirely. 9-5A had such parity--and inconsistent play due to talent, but youth IMHO--a team that was playing really well may have just been eliminated. Everyone knew you had to bring your 'A' game every week.

Man, I think of all the players and coaches who have to put up with these comments. If you think negative comments helps your “team”, you’re wrong. To all the players and coaches, all teams have had games just like this. If not, it’s coming. Coaches, get your players together and tell them this was a tough loss, but that you and the fans are behind them. We’ll win the next one and make a deep playoff run. I don’t have a kid playing, I’m just a fan. Don’t take the negative comments to heart because they are not involved. Go Dogs!
