I get that. But if Reps (both sides) were to do this all the time without any immediate repercussions, then how can legislature work fluidly? I can certainly understand voting someone out because they no longer rep your beliefs and values. But I don't need to vote someone out if they don't show up for work. That should be handled accordingly and immediately. Just my opinion. Would feel this way if the sides were reversed.

Democrats cannot stop the redistricting.....they don't have the votes and there are no rules that Democrats can use. Abbott is going to continue to call a special session after special session.......sometimes you have to recognize defeat, and live to fight another day....at $500.00 a day, how much money you willing to spend and still not win?

All’s fair in love and war. The Republicans started a war. Civil disobedience has its place in a democratic society. The price to pay is borne by the practitioners. Their respective voters should decide the penalty/reward for that disobedience. Not the governor, legislature, or courts.
