Sure hope they have another good season. The new coach came from Katy and Katy usually plays very good defense, so I am hoping in his second year that the defense improves tremendously. It has been weak the last several years. I don’t know if they don’t know how to teach secondary play or if there is not much talent at those positions. They certainly had a much better season last year, but simply struggled the last few games on defense

How long have they been there? It’s not that hard to get certified is it? -

It will be very difficult for Houston to trade him due to his contract and being damaged goods. Astros would basically expect nothing in return for him. That's not good business.

Silsbee Notches First Playoff Series Win Since 2012

Great season, girls and coaches. The future looks bright with 8 starters returning. All 3 pitchers will be back and 3 coming up from Junior High that could contribute. -
I hate to see any player end their career like this but the need to put the team out of their misery and let him go. It may cost but might be worth it. How much is left on his not cut contract?
-
I have never been and never will be a believer in the saying, “If it saves one life then it is worth it”. It’s simply a ‘feel good’ saying.

Well besides McCullers laying an egg, Astros got 2 shutouts in the 3 game series. Ain’t that a kick? In the McCullers fiasco, I thought the Astros made it respectable to come back the way they did. I mean, if you give up a 10 run 1st inning, do you really think a win is possible? I think the Astros have kept McCullers too long. I think he is damaged goods snd the Stros would have trouble getting anything in return. AAW, any thoughts on McCullers?

I posted an article that said Regan’s amnesty was a failure. I don’t ever expect you to connect the dots so I even said it was a failure. So I asked about your boy Obama deporting 3 million without due process to see your reaction and this is your response? I can see why the department of education was abolished. You’re proof positive that it wasn’t working.

Silsbee's Joe Sigler to retire..... Silsbee is open

It's my understanding that both have a degree. Silsbee has always required all their head coaches to be certified teachers. -
Only partially true. You conveniently left out the key part like many. He is a citizen because HE was born here, and his PARENTS were legally subject here, resided permanently here, and were presumed loyal to the U.S. HE was underage. So, his status was carried from his parent/parents.

I am not calling you out. I have seen you post about property taxes and was wondering how you feel about this. It sounds really good but when you take away taxed monies, you have to get it from somewhere else. In Texas, our property taxes also pay for our local school districts. So I am asking, without sarcasm, is this a good deal, and if so, where does the city/county recoup these losses? I am retired and have no kids in local schools, yet I still pay school taxes. Your thoughts? Anyone else can respond too.

what if the law allowed for a situation where a criminal could break into your house and have a baby, and then not only would the baby be allowed to stay and live there in your house, but the mother would be allowed to as well so she could take care of the baby? As the owner of the house you'd even have to allot some of your monthly budget to help provide basic services and food for them. Sound absurd? It does to me as well. @UT alum, same question.

Just glad there's no Rocker in there. I hope he figures it out, but he's been killing us this year.

According to the Constitution, you are a citizen because YOU were born here.

I like the way our starting pitching lines up for the next two series. colorado series Monday (5/12) Mahle Tuesday (5/13) Leiter Wednesday (5/14) Corbin houston series Thursday (5/15) deGrom Friday (5/16) Eovaldi Saturday (5/17) Mahle Sunday (5/18) Leiter

nah, he doesn't like that part. he supports the constitution when it suits him.
-
And.....I asked how do you all feel about Reagan granting amnesty to illegals? Should Trump do the same?
-
So you also support "an AR-15 on every corner", right?
-
From the article you posted The law granted amnesty to nearly 3 million illegal immigrants, yet was largely considered unsuccessful because the strict sanctions on employers were stripped out of the bill for passage. Simpson says the amnesty provision actually saved the act from being a total loss. "It's not perfect, but 2.9 million people came forward. If you can bring one person out of an exploited relationship, that's good enough for me

I simply can't see Silsbee promoting Jacob over Ira at this point unless that's Ira wish. Both have interviewed. I can see them promoting Ira to head coach for the next 3-4 years then handing the reigns over to Jacob. -

The constitution gives Congress the power to make laws concerning immigration.....currently, it is illegal to cross the border unless grated that right. So, if you support the constitution, they should not be allowed to cross in the first place. -
