  2. Orangefield 49 Anahuac 14 Orangefield put together a good game plan to cage the Anahuac Panthers for Homecoming. Mason Manning opened the scoring with a 40 yd. run for a TD on their first series. The Panthers would hang around in the first half, down 21-14 late in the second quarter. But Colton Michael would squash any momentum they had with a blocked punt with a minute to play. Manning would score his fourth TD for a 28-14 lead. Manning would finish 134 yds. while QB Carson Gonzales was 10-11 for 228 yds. and two TD’s. Kaleb Menard and Hayden Clark would anchor the defense that shutout Anahuac in the second half. The Bobcats travel to Coldspring Friday.
  3. Will miss next week vs. Tarkington then be back.
  4. How long are they out?
  5. West Fork: No, and that analysis is pretty simple. They aren’t as good as I thought they would be this year, and are actually much worse. Nederland: No, but it’s MCM. In 2022 a PNG team that later went to state had to throw a last minute TD to win against a terrible Nederland team. This year the bulldogs look weak at a bunch of levels but they were able to hang on in a shootout against a Dayton team that I think is at least slightly better than them on most days. I think we’re better, but we were better last year and they still managed to be better than us the night we played. Unless they start really getting dominated in the next two weeks, call that one a 50/50 and prepare like you’re the underdog. Dayton: Trap game. If we go into the last week at home with no losses and everyone assuming we’re going to be undefeated district champs, and looking past the Broncos into the playoffs, they have the offense to get us into a foot race. Their defense is bad, but they can put up points. So, no - I don’t think those three will beat us, but we have to just take it one game at a time. We’re beatable, and I hope we don’t let one of them prove it.
  6. Would love to see silsbee take this one on homecoming but I’m afraid those injuries are gonna be too much to over come against a very good HF team.

  8. Each year teams tend to take on their own identity. There are several factors that help make that team (returning starters, experience, depth, health, strength of schedule, etc.) To compare apples to apples, the 2022 PN-G team through 5 games was 3-2, and this year's team is 5-0, so it could be argued that it could be the more complete team. We shall see. A state finalist in 2022 and state championship in 2023 would take a "pretty complete team". I believe early indications are the 2025 Indians have as good a chance at getting to the title game as both of those teams.
  9. Today
  10. perhaps. We'll see if my theory is a 2 off or a continuing trend.....
  11. I’ll take Huntsville by 10.
  12. You think West Fork, Nederland or Dayton can beat PN-G? The Indians will take care of business and head to the playoffs 10-0.
  13. Maybe, but I think Baytown Sterling has got people's attention.
  14. We went big school every year back then.....That's a different animal.
  15. I think this is another exciting toss-up. Probably a similar game as Dayton’s last 2 games. Lake Creek has just a good a chance as Dayton does for a playoff spot.
  16. I would say thats a pretty good analysis-
  17. 1. West Brook----giving trap games vibes 2. Galveston Ball 3. Port Arthur Memorial 4. Angleton 5. Crosby 6. Dayton 7. Montgomery 8. Nederland 9. Bridge City 10. LC-M 11. Lumberton 12. Huffman 13. Silsbee 14. West Orange Stark 15. Shepherd 16. Hardin 17. East Chambers 18. Orangefield 19. Fairfield 20. Anderson-Shiro 21. Newton 22. Kountze 23. Joaquin 24. Garrison 25. Alpha Omega Academy
  18. Another possible trap game for the Bruins....
  19. I didn’t know Nederland’s starters are hurt. That’s tough.
  20. If Nederland’s defense plays like they did vs Dayton and Nederland’s QB and RB are still hurt I look for West Fork to win. If the QB and RB are ok it is going to be close. As of today Nederland’s defense is about as bad as you can get
  21. Not good enough. He needs to be arrested for terroristic threats. Most Virginia dems still back him. Imagine that.
  22. @Big girl @UT alum @DCT @Boyz N Da Hood Thoughts?!
  23. True dat!
  24. I like MG's quick & stout RB give him a yard and he will roll people on his way through space. MG has some studs on D that will make running up the middle difficult Should be a very interesting game for second and third place.
