  2. Big game tonight for 9-5A DI at Doggett Stadium. Lot's of playoff implications riding on this result. DCTF has Lufkin as a 6 point favorite. I'll be in the press box for this one Give me Lufkin, 28-24
  3. There was only one punt in this game. Both teams went for it (and failed every time) on 4th down. FW failed on four 4th downs. KP failed on four 4th downs. The last three KP drives ended in INT's. This solidifies Friendswood as the 4th place team while eliminating Kingwood Park from the playoff race.
  4. Angleton fans—or others attending the game tonight: Please be aware of road work on Fairmont Pkwy. Between 146 & the stadium. Yesterday, they had much of it closed down to one lane. May want to arrive a little early. Also, Trick or Treating is happening pregame at booster booths spread around inside the stadium. Young uns are encouraged to wear their costumes and have some Halloween fun before the game. Drive safe!

  6. Don’t play the formal pick’ems. I look at computer projections. But, more for entertainment value. I’d imagine accuracy is highly dependent on key injury situations, weather, and things that can’t be input from a statistical equation. Usually, I’m in the 70% range. Some weeks way better than others pending the games. I don’t know all the smaller schools that well at all.
  7. I have basically picked off that computer. Not 100% but somewhere in the 75-80% I have used it's picks.
  8. Hardin doesn't run the Slot. They run the Wing T
  9. Just basing on the fact that I am not picking them to make playoffs but still battle for a playoff spot. TABC has them finishing 4th. Sleeper this year due to what they lost from last two years.
  10. Hasn’t Central won district the last two years, how can they be a sleeper?
  11. Bellville JV 28 Madisonville JV 0 F
  12. I forgot to put this up last evening. Post em here....
  13. My only thing is Hardin doesn’t really run the Slot T though… it’s more based on toss plays (based on the couple games I’ve watched) The Slot T has more fakes and miss direction IMO. But I agree I’m happy for them and they should enjoy the ride. I’ll always pull for the similar run based offense that Bellville runs and I hope they win it all… I’ve just watched Bellville play Columbus and Hitchcock this year and defensively vs the run based offense they are tough. Best of luck to the Hornets the rest of the way!
  14. Would be curious to see if the computers would win if someone exclusively picked based on them next year
  15. Woodward has been canned. [Hidden Content]
  16. Interesting side topic. Pickems usually run about the same. 77% is leading this season
  17. huffman has some real weapons so lc-m needs to make a minimum amount of mistakes.
  18. PNG is a true sleeper in District 19-5A, led by senior Langston Adams alongside standout 2027 talents 6'7 Jonathan Cayetano and Daylan Jackson. This team has the pieces to quietly sneak into the playoffs.
  19. I think most who pay attention can go statewide picking winners at a 65-70% clip depending on the year...I run at around 70% on the small sample that I pick...but I'm also picking the marquee games with typically smaller margins...the computer running at +80% for 5 yrs is pretty salty....I think that'd be hard to find a person doing that for that long that consistently
  20. 1. Kingwood at Summer Creek 2. North Shore at CE King 3. Lufkin at Beaumont United 4. West Brook at Galveston Ball 5. Angleton at La Porte 6. Porter at Crosby 7. Nederland at Huntsville 8. Port Neches-Groves at Montgomery 9. West Fork at Dayton 10. Huffman at LC-M 11. Lumberton at Livingston 12. Vidor at HJ 13. Jasper at Silsbee 14. Shepherd at Hamshire Fannett 15. Kirbyville at Buna 16. Orangefield at East Chambers 17. Diboll at Crockett 18. Fairfield at Palestine Westwood 19. Huntington at Teague 20. Kountze at New Waverly 21. Trinity at Anderson-Shiro 22. Joaquin at Shelbyville 23. Timpson at Garrison 24. Evadale at Colmesneil 25. Burkeville at Chester
  21. No PNG anywhere? I think they have a great year.
  22. All-District picks are just another way to compete. It's all well and good to think coaches should vote objectively, but I think most coaches are more concerned with taking care of their own guys...as they should be. The TABC predictions are also skewed as there are all kinds of different agendas, coaches not submitting votes, etc. Only thing that matters is results on the floor.
