I've seen improvement with each game, but other than SOC the level of competition hasn't been that strong. I think the 23-6A gauntlet will tell us everything about this team. Yes Cita and Creek are down, but both are long time rivals. I'm especially looking to the King game. They've been our long time little brother and with a former North Shore coach at the helm. You know he would love to be the first King coach to take down North Shore.

I wouldn’t completely count out next week‘s game against LC, or maybe even the one against Huntsville, considering the way they played Montgomery. You never know which group of HS kids will show up with their A game on these teams.

I fully expected the score to be flipped in favor of Dayton. LC is slowly getting better each game it seems.

FWIW: I very much dislike Homecoming games, @BMTSoulja1 and a few others can vouch for that, too much that could go wrong IMO that week........ .......BUT.....😁 3rd straight week we've played in a Homecoming game (including our own), 3rd straight week without allowing a TD and pretty much put B-T-A on the opponent from start to finish. Me thinks we should play in more Homecoming games this season 😎

Born and Raised in Mont Belvieu. I have watched most of the Eagles games over the last 30 years. I can remember the losing seasons from Craig McGallion, the turn around under Don Price to Gage to Westerberg to Abseck to today with Cody Simper. This was my Homecoming and my 25th reunion… There were a lot us excited to see this group get it back together tonight. As a former class president, I cannot sit back and watch this happen to my beloved Eagles. I really hope that Coach Simper and his merry band of misfits didn’t purchase a house. My hope is that they rented because it will make their moves at the end of the season much easier. Someone should have warned them. Ole Greg is not going to take too kindly to all this losing.

No injuries & starters got a good rest. A lot of new offensive plays were introduced for opponents to have to study. Backups played well. Successful outing.
