Trust me they still remember, but also know this. This is not the same team king played a year ago. The king team also split up and some went to ozen and some to central. The king team was a very talanted group and a big group of boys. The large part of that win was rebounding and CO had no chance giving up such a height and size advantage. The CO boys were much smaller than the king group but alot of the CO boys are starting to mature and hitting there growth spirts. They have grown alot physical and mentally over the last year and still have a long ways to go. This group also has some new additions to the team as well.  So this is not the same Ned team at all!

Comical. It is simply foolish to make these statements and draw these conclusions based on one 8th grade game

Solid is a good word for the Nederland freshman crew.  Fundamentally sound, well-coached, play as a team, good players who have obviously worked hard to get better.  They don't do anything flashy, but they do everything well. 

Nice job so far with this group.  Hats off to the players and coaches.  And especially to Coach English for getting it all going.

The program has my respect...

"Play as a team" is a phrase tossed around a lot, but it very accuratly describes them.. Everyone knows their role and stays to it

Guards dribble the ball, post players rebound, etc.. Knowing your job on defense, or in the press break..

Those kids are good at it! Their time will come later on in high school ball
