1. Not gonna analyze the game or make excuses. Neither team gave up and it was an exciting game to watch

That's how Ned survives.
Nothing wrong! It was fine until you attempted to put Nederland in the same sphere with Georgetown. ;D
Oh ok, we'll I guess Central is not in the same sphere as Georgetown either?

Central killed Ned on the boards. Their inability to shoot well probably led to their early departure in the playoffs.
The information that I was given from a very reliable contact is that Central was severely outcoached in that game...  Also, if I'm not mistaken, the team, Georgetown, made it pretty far in last years playoffs.  Didn't they make it to the regional simi's?
I think they did make it that far. Georgetown beat Central leaving them wondering how that happened. Then the next wk they beat Ned leaving us wondering how that happened. They were well coached and very disciplined. Played good defense. Georgetown proved you don't have to be the tallest or most athletic to win big games. They were VERY similar I thought to Ned with their players and coach.
Central will be full of battle-tested juniors, Ozen with mostly seniors this year I think,  and Nederland with Weisbrod and ? and? hmmm? Too early to tell about the guys below. LCM? pn-g? Lumberton?
True. Lot of unknowns with Nederland this year. Will be a fun challenge for Coach E
 7.
they might as well- nothing wrong with getting exposed to a weak schedule and poor off season preparation a year early
;D ;D ;D
 8. Zach I have really enjoyed watching you play for the past several years. I wish you the best in your upcoming endeavors!! Enjoy!!!!
 9. Congrats to all players mentioned. However, in the "grand scheme of things", basketball is just a game. Getting a college education is what all these boys should focus on. JMO
 10.
He saw it.  He simply chose to interpret it in a manner he thought would bolster his case.  It did not go well.
:D
 11. He is a future communication major, just like the 7'4 boy from another country.
 12. A special thanks and goodbye to these Nederland seniors. I have had the privilege of watching most of these boys since Little Dribblers. They have demonstrated how to win with humility and lose with dignity and respect. You have put your fingerprint on the Nederland basketball program. You are a good group of basketball players but more importantly a good group of young men. I am proud to be an ex-bulldog and a bulldog fan. Thanks for the memories and good luck to each of you!!
 13. Once again DV hacks into a thread where he is not wanted and takes over the topic. Sad. Go tigers!
 14.
It's funny to read some of the comments on here about Centrals head coach!  I can remember very clearly at the Nederland Vs Central game the announcer introducing coach Lee as the Legend!  Now they want to fire him?  LMAO
I forgot about that!  ;D ;D :o

What do you think that Brian English would have done with THAT bunch at Central?
That's a hard question. That's a lot of talent to coach! ;D Don't know if Coach E would implement his style of play/coaching or play a more up tempo style. His record shows that he can do more with less, and suggests that Central would still be playing if he were their coach. I didn't see the game (obviously), so it's hard to say what would have happened in THAT game. He may have done a better job at adjusting (during the game) to the matchup against a team like Georgetown. Sometimes though, the coach can put his players in the right position, but kids gotta execute that plan. What do you think?
I think you hit the nail on the head! In the playoffs its ALL about coaching adjustments and match ups...I know what Coach E can do adjustment wise, and I also know what the Central coach lacks in that area...NOT that Coach Lee is just that terrible, but Coach English is just that much better.  I do understand that this Central team is a very young group, but with that you also must implement another coaching dynamic, and thats taking advantage of the "too young to know any better" factor, and allow them to play loose as well... English HAS done more with less, and I feel that with more he would DO more!  ;)
Agree. He would definitely do more with more. Unfortunately he has never had that advantage. Next year will prove to be a big challenge as well, with only 1 returning starter.
 16. What does Georgetown have? And who wins this one?
 17.

Mark this down, Silsbee can beat yates! There's no doubt about it. Silsbee can match yates speed and has more depth. yates has tried to intimidate and scare Silsbee, don't think it worked. I don't think yates has any respect for Silsbee eather. That will be their mistake. yates heighth is one thing Silsbee can't match. How will yates handle Silsbee's speed and depth. Go over the top of them with their heighth? How will Silsbee handle yates's heighth. Use their speed and depth? It will be a tall hill for Silsbee to climb, but a hill Silsbee has climbed before. Go Tigers!!!
Yall barely beat Kashmere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ::)
Barely? They beat 'em by 16 ::)
 18.

Great job Panthers! I may be kinda biased but anybody that knows me knows I'm his worst critic. Big ups to Jakobi and Ducc for their senior leadership last night. Jakobi has impressed me the last 2 games finally being who the coaches have asked him to be. Great job Panthers!
Man, I must not have read this thread. I guess I've been keeping up with other teams. Anyway, I was mentioning this just today how Kobi is stepping up big time with his senior leadership. Ozen starts 3 sophomores and  2 seniors. To see the guys huddle up and talk between plays is very refreshing. Its the little things that creates the special magic.
Saw Jacobi do the same thing in their 1st playoff game. You can't say enough about good leadership.
 19. Every team has games when it's just not their night, or lose to less talented teams that for some reason they just dont match up well against. Central is young. The playoff experience and pain of losing early will fuel them for next year.
