East Chambers Playoff Preview game between the 3A #4 Hardin-Jefferson Hawks and the 3A Stafford Spartans is a rematch from the 3A Area Round matchup last year.  The Hawks defeated Stafford by the score of 56-46 in OT to end the Spartans season.  This year Stafford is 16-14 this season, and they are the #3 seed from District 24-3A.  They finish behind Brookshire Royal and Sealy in District.  Losing to both of those teams twice in District play.  5'9 Senior Justin Smith leads the Spartans in scoring at 15.3 PPG.  Stafford will play either Smithville or Rockdale in the Bi-District round of the playoffs next week.  Hardin-Jefferson is the Co-District Champions with Silsbee.  The Hawks are 36-1 on the year and ranked #1 in the SETXSORTS Big School Dirty Dozen poll this week.  6"4 Shawn Prudhomme is the leader for the Hawks, and he has scored 30+ points in 5 of his last 6 games.  HJ received the BYE in the Bi-District Round of the playoffs, and will play either Sealy/Smithville or Rockdale in the Area Round next weekend.
