You telling me that you believe LH beats any one of the following Lamarque, Coperas Cove (with RG3) SLC, Westlake, Cedar Hill, Lamar Consolidated, Lake Travis, HPark, ETrinity, Judson or Katy in 06 or 07? Just one of them?

When was the last time a 3A school moved up to 4A and immediately went to a title game? It happens all the time from 4A to 5A (SLC, Smithson valley, Cibolo Steele, Denton Guyer).

SLC is a prime example. They dominated in 3A early 90's running the flex. Then moved up to 4A and fell off the map for a few years. Ledbetter retired, they changed offenses, began to compete again and moved to 5A and went on a streak.

Aledo was 3A several years back, but it has taken them a few years in 4A to become the power they are.
Yes that year i believe that Liberty Hill would've beaten plenty of 4A teams and atleast made a deep run into the playoffs.
Not what I asked! Do you think they would have beaten any of the teams in the 4A state title games either year? Did you even see them play in 2006 or 2007?

Um thank you for making my point BH15. Lewisville won 5A titles in 1993 and 1996 which was 15 years ago. And they are the only one to do so since 1990 in either 4A or 5A.

So I was correct it has been almost 20 years! I hate to cloud your guys judgement with facts!
And go back and look at who was referenced as stupid!

That saying "you gotta pass in the playoffs" is about as stupid as the dance your lil indian does. Do you not know anything man? I say for like the fourth time this week, Liberty Hill who runs the same offense that Livingston and Vidor does won not only one state championship but two in a row while running a slot t offense. And guess what. They didn't pass much either.
Got confused on who you were referencing. Look forward to sparring with you if our teams happen to meet up in the 1st round.
Ditto. Alwasy great games when we matchup. Lots of respect for the Hill. Those LBs are brutal!

Also no way Magnolia West beats Livingston. I've seen them play, not enough defense, offense only one good running back to stop and not enough speed. Ooops did I say that? You will be looking at a Livingston vs Brenham game for sure, even without The Bull. Also BH or PNG could present a lot of problems for Brenham, don't no much about Terry, but BH is not the #1 4A team in this area because it was given to them. I can't wait for playoffs to begin, because that's when it counts.
So your confident that Livingston will beat LaMarque also? I will say again you gotta pass in the playoffs to win. And as potent as that running game is Livingston can't throw the ball!!!

3A football is different. Most of the star players in 3A are playing both ways and an offense like the Slot T will wear them down. Also 3A teams seldom have enough talent accross the board to shut down a good slot offense.

4A and up has the numbers to have a multitude of studs on both sides of the ball. Especially the farther you get in the playoffs. When was the last time a Slot T or one of the bone offenses won or even made it to a state title game in Texas at the 4A or 5A level? Been almost 20 years!

Real Data doesn't lie. Now who is Stupid!
Lewisville won two 5-A state championships in the 90's with Coach Ronnie Gage. Same offense he is using at BH. I don't know how far we will get in the playoff's but I will bet we get farther than PNG ;D I would think twice before I called anyone stupid next time :o

Oh OK, so your saying there is always a chance! I'll concede to that, but I will not concede that it will be either Livingston or Vidor to be the team to do it this year! When was the last time either Livingston or Vidor made it out of the first round?

So do you think it's a coincidence that only one team in 20+ years has made it to the big dance in the upper classifications running this offense?
Livingston made it to the third round in 2007 before loosing big to Dayton in large part because they tried to run too much from the spread

no doubt.... they were horrible after the first quarter or so.. Harris, as good as he was, was just throwing stuff up that night.

Updated, but not much has changed.  Some schools are tied, so we'll have to wait another week.

Thank you for your hard work, should be a interesting friday night of football coming up. It could really shake things up a bit
That was because coach Rowe went on one of his ego trips. All you have to do is tell him what he can't do and he'll do it just to prove to himself he can.

The interesting game would be Crosby playing Vidor.

Remember Crosby backed out of a game with Vidor just a couple of years ago stating racial issues why they did not want to schedule Vidor for a home and home.
I don't know if I would even want to touch this one....it would only be fitting though. Where would we play that might be acceptable to them, Lubbock???

After Livingston got upset by Ozen this past Friday, Toups has BH going against Ozen, not PNG. Does that mean PNG would be out of the playoffs if Toups is correct?
If BH plays Ozen, that's going to get REAL UGLY for Ozen.  I feel so sorry for the Ozen kids, they have size, athletic ability, but are just not disciplined.  They have a lot of peanalties and bad snaps.

5) PN-G wins out and Livingston and Ozen go 1-1 with Livingston's loss being to Vidor.  That would put PNG at 5-2, Vidor at 5-2 and Livingston and Ozen at 4-3.  Ozen would go since they have the tiebreaker

If that did take place (which is what Toups Graphics "Jimminy Cricket" is saying, my scenario would be the correct playoff matchups.

Those Lewisville Farmer teams also had skill postion players that went on to play at D1 level. Chad Nelson was only 5'10 but went on to play for Coach Hatifield at RIce. He run that offense like a coach on the field. They also had two studs on defense and played very well as a team.
The BH offensive coordinator was the qb of one of the state champion teams. Several of the coaches we have now ( former Lewisville players) followed coach Gage to Austin College in Denton. Coach Gage also has a couple of the coaches he brought with him from the Lewisville era. Needless to say, we have quality coaching. As for players going to the next level I am sure we will have our fair share. Regardless, we have a very good group of above average  players who play well as a team. We don't have any selfish, ballhog, it's all about me, players. The system seems to be working out quite well. :D
That is why BH is ranked where they are.  Unfortunately for the Eagles they will be going into the worst part of the bracket.  Facing Brenham in round II, won't be easy.

Once again, for those who say you "HAVE" to pass the ball to win in the playoffs and it just cant be done doing nothing but running it. Please read the link and note what playoff game it was... http://lubbockonline.com/stories/121299/hig_121299116.shtml

Again that was 1999. And if it was so great why did TC change its offensive philosophy during the 2000's?
