The Lions defense although I agree could use some work the Washington QB was athletic and kept some of the plays alive with his legs. With that said two of the Eagle TD's came where the reciever obviously pushed off to make the catch and another was caught off a deflection. Lions do struggle some against spread offenses but they will be ok come disstrict play and back to full strength. We will find out September 23rd. in the Jungle.

Has the salary of the new Dayton coach been made public yet? Just wondering if budget cuts from the state will make it's way into the salaries of big time high school coaches in the state.

Livingston will be tough as usual, they will return all their skill guys plus two of their best lineman on offense. QB Collins will be a year wiser and and will be operating with all of his weapons offense should be fine. Lions will loose Burman,McClain and Galloway on defense but should fill that void from a pretty good JV squad. As for me I will spend all summer thinking about shoving that Dayton feed store sign up that dudes nose when the Lions finnally get by Dayton next year.

Don't forget from just up the road in Livingston we have a former NFL MVP in kicker Mark Mosley!!!!!!!!!

What a football game Saturday night good luck to the Broncos bring it home for region 3 and southeast Texas. Both teams played their hearts out Saturday night and it was a shame that somebody had to loose. The Lions will shake this off,regroup, and take heart in the fact they have all their skill guys coming back and some very good building blocks on the O-line. Let's just hope the Broncos and Lions meet a little later in the  playoffs in 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
