Everyone says the struggled with them. from the stands i did not see that both teams scored once and warren only got there score on Evadales 2nd D warrens first O had only 25 yards on them through there first two drives and Evadale 50 on just there first one so i am still trying to find where they where struggling at

Just got off of the phone and there has been a change....Sabine Pass will also be involved in the scrimmage.
We believe that Kountze's and Evadale's 1st teams would scrimmage and Kountze's 2nd team will scrimmage against Sabine Pass.

Further clarification of the format.

1st part of the scrimmage will be a controlled scrimmage:

Kountze 1st team off/Evadale def. - 10 plays
Kountze 2nd team off/Sabine Pass def. - 12 plays
Evadale off./Kountze 1st team def - 10 plays
Sabine Pass off./Kountze 2nd team def. - 12 plays

2nd part will be 2 15 minute quarters

1st Q. - Sabine Pass vs. Kountze 2nd team
2nd. Q - Evadale vs. Kountze 1st team

In the controlled portion of the scrimmage:

Kountze's 1st team off. scored 2 TD's and gained 140 yds against Evadale's defense

Kountze's 2nd team off. scored 1 TD and gained 97 yds against Sabine Pass' defense

Evadale off. did not score and gained 58 yds against Kountze's 1st team defense

Sabine Pass off. is about to play Kountze's 2nd team defense

First play for kountze was a 70 yd td run lol

In the final part of the controlled scrimmage, Sabine Pass' offense scored 1 TD and gained 82 yards.

The 15 minute quarters should be next with Sabine Pass and Kountze's 2nd team starting things off.

With 4:10 left in the 1st 15 minute period, Kountze's 2nd team scores and leads Sabine Pass 6-0.  No PATs are being attempted.

The 1st 15 minute period between Kountze's 2nd team and Sabine Pass with Kountze scoring the only TD.

In the 2nd period between Evadale and Kountze's 1st team, Evadale got the ball first and went 3 and out.  Kountze then drove 55 yards for the TD to take a 6-0 lead with 6:00 left in the period.

This is going to be a long yr for the Rebs. Its been along time cense they had to replace this many starters. And losing the starting QB before the season started is going to take a few games to weed out just who is going to take that spot. Still they will make the playoffs  :(

Evadale has been flying high for the last 3 years coming off 3 straight district titles; over these last 3 years there have been some quality players (close to 35, I think) graduate and left some big holes.  And 35 in a 1A school is a TON!  That, and given that the would be statring QB decided to go basketball only,  that's a load to over come.
The Rebs will get it ironed out when it counts.
