Correction, Silsbee has 1 transfer, just liike HJ.

New Coach, New system, lost 2 players to ozen.  The one big they had last year and is returning, Malveaux, terrible footwork and not a banger that you need in a big man.  He has potential, but i don't see football helping him with his footwork and i doubt he did anything in the summer to improve it.  as far as a banger well your either one or your not and he's not.  Im pulling for HF but i don't see a district championship until maybe year 2 of the coaches system. I believe the last time HF won district (back to back 97-98 and 98-99) and the only times they won district was when DeLord was there.  Sutherland is too good of a coach and silsbee always has the athletes.

Nothing on Silsbee's recruiting, hmmm let's see: Silsbee one transfer from Port Arthur,  HJ one recruit from a San Diego camp.  Looks to me like HJ has a much bigger recruiting budget than the Tigers!!

[/quote]I honestly don't think high school coaches recruit players for their respective teams.  Now, I have had a few kids move because they were not getting any playing time or weren't expected to get any playing time at their old schools. ;)

Question, in the last 5-10 years, just how many transfers do you think Silsbee got in those years?

Counting the one for this year, I can only think of two others, Jones and Holmes.

So you are saying that at least half of Silsbee's varsity players in the last 10 years have all transferred into the district from another district? I take it you are going back as far as 1st grade with these transfers? ::)

Just so I understand you correctly, on average Silsbee has had 12-14 players on varsity the last 10 years. According to you, 6-7 of these were all transfers. So, in the last 10 years, it's safe to say that over 40 players on Silsbee's varsity roster were all tranfers. Is that what you are stating?
