hmmmm. If anything, I would think this kind of compliments Alvarez. It's basically saying without him, they are really done now. Right? I'm just calling it like I see it fellas, I saw the underclassmen from K-ville play, and I wasn't impressed. And please don't give me the excuse of "all of our young talent was on varisty" because guess what....Jasper's was also.

And to address you, Kville_Kats....Actually I think you guys beat us like 68 to 6 or something this year, and no I haven't gotten over that, but I think the next couple of years will make up for it.  ;D

WOW!  Dat's a BIG TIME job!

Yo, snappa head... dat's what she said!!!

It's a beautiful thing!

Whooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

GOOD LUCK COACH ALVAREZ!
It is indeed a big time job, Dice.  He replaces a coach in Sam Harrell that was very successful, highly revered, and has won state championships (2000, 2001, 2004) at Ennis.

If Coach Alvarez does take the job, best of luck to him as he will have to hit the ground running.
harrell was also one of the innovators of the spread correct???

Oughta be interesting seeing what Ennis does offensively.
That is correct.  In fact, he was one of those who introduced the spread to the Southeast Texas area via the 2000 4A DII State Championship game (owww....that hurt).
God, I remember that game and WO-S had three DB's on that team go on to play college football. I always pull for my fellow Orange County teams when in the playoffs.

Good for coach Alvarez...heard that job pays $100k-$105K.
And Jasper said he wasn't worthy.  Courtesy interview was all he was worth.  Funny.  The Ennis 4A job dwarfs the Jasper job!
I do not think Jasper thought he wasn't worthy.  I think they thought he would not fit at Jasper.  There is baggage there.  He will not carry that same baggage to Ennis.  I am very happy for him that he has landed this big prize.  I wish him the best, and expect the best.  He will perform.  I also agree with the deciders at Jasper that he probably was not best for Jasper.  That in no way should take away from what he should be able to do at Ennis.  Best of luck Coach Alvarez!!
good coach good guy but not a good fit for jasper!!

The baggage may not be that of Coach Alvarez.  But it is still baggage there, and it probably would not have worked well for either party.  Alvarez is better off this way I do believe.  So is Jasper.  Just my opinion.
This is so true We have a Good Young Coach and Ennis is getting what they needed.
