  2. Prayers from the Adams' in Kirbyville.  God Bless and a healthy, speedy recovery!!
  3. You got to remember if a 2-8 team makes the playoffs, doesnt mean much if they are from a small district.  The preseason games dont count, so dont include them for post season consideration.  If you have a 5 team district with 3 playoff places, you very well could get a 2-3 team in the playoffs. Nothing wrong with that.  The more playoff games, the better for football fans.
  4. My thanks to all who have posted prayers.  And my thanks to the Kirbyville Wildcat Football Team.  They dedicated their game last night to my daughter, Shelby, a 7 year old twin who just learned Tuesday that she has cancer.  Diboll never had a chance, as these super young men played their hearts out against a worthy opponent.  I am sorry I was unable to attend, but Shelby had a procedure Friday AM in Houston and was just wore out when we got home.  When the news came on and showed football hi-lights, she asked if the Wildcats won.  I said yes, Big!!  She said I knew they would.  Win or lose from here on out, this bunch of Wildcats are super.  Thanks so much from the bottom of this old Wildcat Fans heart.
  5. Just learned that my good friend Michael and Lorie Adams 7 year old twin Shelby has been diagnosed with a tumor on the left side of her head, near the orbital bone.  Going to Texas Children's tomorrow. Mike and Lorie founded Kirbyville pee wee football league and co-founded the East Texas pee wee football league, and had two sons play for KV High, graduating in 2006 (Bradlee) and 2008 (Mikey).
  6. I have to agree that this Jasper team took several cheap shots.  I wouldn't call them the trashiest team, just a couple of bad apples.  Of course, KV had a couple also.  I do think stomping on our quarterbacks back after the play was over was extremely poor sportsmanship.
  7. After seeing what Newton did to KV, and then N losing to EC, safe to assume that KV would have a hard time making the playoffs this year in that district.  What you can't predict is what would happen next year or the next.  KV is down on talent, but time can change that.  2A or 3A, we will do our best.
  8. Just what would KV need to apologize for?  Just wondering.  WOS is very good this year, and beating a very young KV team proves nothing.  My hope is that WOS will continue to improve and represent Southeast Texas 3A football with a state championship!!
  9. Prayers from Kirbyville. Such a sad tragedy.  Prayers for the community, the school, and the families of these young men.  May God bless and comfort you all during the difficult days ahead.  Psalm 46:1
  10. Not sure, but I believe MLB keeps up with the pitch count.
