Wonder how many presently on staff will be retained?
Word on the street is 3 more coaches got their walking papers today...........The last two coaches remain which of course are "hometown" boys.

what 3 coaches got walkin papers?
I can't say but lets just say 2 of the 3 "hometown" guys get to stay.  Good luck winning here ::) ::).  They fire tommy hall and his staff to bring in a baseball coach??????????????  Why not make the baseball coach that left the AD.  FEEL bad for the coaches and players and their parents.
Hope the folks that made these decisions sleep well at night.

the coach was the qb coach at 5-a program and was next in line to be the OC at a 5-a high school and was the asst. coach of baseball.

I think you need to be happy that you got a coach with this kind of experience.

Last thing everyone has a chance to pick their head coach or to have a say so in it.  Run for school board then vote no.
You must be already on the school board since you feel that way.......Many more qualified football coaches were interviewed.  They found the best "yes" man outta the bunch.  Good luck to coach stanley and the new guys coming in.  I wish the guy the best but you can be the Qb coach for the packers and it still boils down to the "johnnys" and "joes".  The question is can he get the most out of the players in hemphill?  Hemphill doesnt have any prototypes that this coach is used to at the 5A level except for one maybe.  I wish them the best, hope they get it turned around for the kids.

Hear that only 1 person is left on staff...how many will they replace..will the number of male coaches gonna be reduced?  big time budget crunch going on state wide isn't it?  just wondering...
Word on the street is they are keep 2 coaches and 4 coaches were fired yesterday.  The 2 coaches that get to stay are hometown boys is the only reason.  The 2 that get to stay are good coaches and good people.  7 coaches were told leave from what I understand.  It is what it is.  Bottom line is this, it is whats best for the kids and its not about the board or coaches but the kids.  I hope they do good.  Make some changes up top and you can win here consistently.
That's what it's all about. Hire coaches right out of school for $20,000 get rid of the ones making $40,000 look at all that money. Maybe Hemphill has big time money problems I don't know. Whatever floats your boat, money or winning!

I know this isn't directly related to football, but I thought this is something to know next time we question leadership and what they are worth. This is a website that shows how much a superintendant makes in your school. Just click on "our new database" and fill out the name and school. I was shocked at what some supers make. Copy n paste in your browser.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
