Thomas likely got a huge kickback from the firm in Houston which is why they used them........why else would you go with a bid of over a half a million dollars more???

Soulja, sleepy is saying that someone can be "from" another city/town, but now live in Beaumont.

I have a friend who is "from" Silsbee, but now resides in Beaumont. Are you saying that because he is not from Beaumont, only resides there(pays taxes), he cannot voice his opinion?

So, about the kids, what about some of the schools that need 10 million put into instead of a basketball arena that is not needed? That's for the kids, right?

That is just what the kids need is a wasted 10 million$ gym. How many Gyms does one town need??? They have 2 at Lamar, 3 high school gyms, and  Ford Park. Just how many kids will get to use this 10 Million $ gym??? 40 from each school on basketball, girls and boys 25 girls from V-ball that is 195 kids a year. That comes to $50000.00 per kid for the first year. I think they could do a lot more for a lot more kids with a lot less money . But they dont need to buy anymore King ranch trucks for Drunks to drive home after a night at the bar.
