we tried to go in the intercoastal, but they sent us packing because of the oil spill.  then we were fishing for flounder by the coast guard station, but apparently we were too close, even though there were no signs up saying we couldn't fish.  then, at the end of the trip, we were told that the whole waterway all the way to the jetties was shut down, and we needed to return to the boat ramp immediately.  the coast guard cutter was even kind enough to sit and watch while we packed up, not leaving until we had gotten the boat started.

[/quote]In the yrs past I have no idea HOW many flounder I've caught in front of the Coast G station without a word being said, last fall I was told to leave before I got close to the bulkhead on 2 seperate occassions. The next time I get boarded by them I will ask the reason....

I have caught a many flounder on the barges near the one I fell in.  I was explaining to the rookie(bullets) to be carefull and walk on the supports. About 2 minutes after my "lecture" I felt the earth move and I'm wet up to my azz.  I have to give Bullets credit, I would have fell out laughing.........

Not at all.......it's what happens when a reb and dem get together and enjoy a great day fishing.  Politics did come up and we kinda fell in the middle on most issues.  Now, if I would have remembered it was Sunday morning, I would have bought beer the night before and who knows what we would have reported back    ;D
