Alvin Mosley’s a problem. He’s a grown man among boys. PNG’s secondary is going to have to show who they really are this week. Crawford’s defense is really fast. Not very large. We’ll move the ball on them but we have to be smart. If we try to play home run derby against these guys we miss out on our advantages running the ball and our size in the trenches (we aren’t huge but we aren’t tiny either). We have to pound the rock to negate their speed in the secondary, improve tackling and secondary coverage, and maintain long drives that keep the ball out of Mosley’s hands. 

This is a very winnable game. We’re better than the other two teams Crawford has played this year. Our physicality on defense is going to be a new problem for them, and we have the best offense they’ve seen this season. We’ve prepared for this game. Crawford is fast, but so is PAM and PAM has way more size. So, we just need to fall back on the PNG staples: ball control, first downs, and defense.

This is a tought one but it might be an overtime game im going to crawford by 3pts but if PNG play the way they did last week it can go they why by 3pts

Everyone thinks about Crawford's offense for good reason. Their QB's ability to make plays when things break down is demoralizing. Don't forget, they also have a 5 star Edge/LB who creates havoc wherever he lines up. Their D is sneaky good, and overlooked IMHO.

It was a 3 point game with LP in the 4th quarter. Then, Mosely took over with punt return & I forget the other score. But, they'd worn the young LP D out with up tempo play all game & chasing them all over the field.

You could tell they'd all played together since Crawford was opened. They can score quick from anywhere on the field in multiple ways. There's a reason they're ranked #2 by DCTF computers.

Should be a good game.

Yes. But their program looks to be D1 size. I imagine they’re getting the cream of the crop from FBISD.

Ok, I keep seeing Boerne #2.  Maybe I'm looking at the wrong dctf rankings.  

Not that I put too much store in the rankings.

Last I checked the DCTF computer rankings, they were #2. Are you looking at the computer rankings, or the poll rankings?

Still #2 in the computer rankings at last update before their win against Katy Freeman. I doubt they’ll drop after that win. PNG is #5.

Ok I wasn't looking at that, but at the rankings that they post on this site. Also Ive just noticed that they were 4a last season and 5a this season.  They beat WOS in a close game last season.  

Regardless, I watched some of the Freeman game on TL, and they are good indeed. We'll see how it goes this Friday.

Should be a great game speed vs  ball control. If PNG can play turnover free and mistake free ball control then they have a good shot. Im sure they are drawing all the players from the Fort Bend area. Just like Randle and Iowa Colony they will have large numbers for sure.

I love PNGs preseason , all dogs except West Brook, will have the Indians prepared for district! I hate that they scheduled Brenham for an away game but it gives me a reason to go to deer lease afterwards.
