Darth Texas Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago I saw Nederland in person last week and WOS in their scrimmage against PNG. Nederland didn’t show me anything that says they’re at a point where they can contend with the combination of Jefferson and WOS’s passing game. Conversely, if Nederland runs the ball the way they did against West Brook they aren’t going to get much on the ground. This might be a three-score game by halftime. CS. 1 Quote

I think the run game was decent 140 yards between the two backs both averaged around 4ypc, Nederland just cant afford turnovers, penalties, and sacks in this game, and what I dont understand is why I hardly ever see Nederland run screens especially with two decent backs. navydawg31 1 Quote

The screen part… I don’t understand why that wasn’t involved at all… I hope the offensive play calling gets better this week. Quote

Correct me if I’m wrong but after calling plays the first year, Rich didn’t call plays last year and is not calling plays this year. If so, is this a problem? Quote

spidersal Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Yes that was a question, why because several posters raved about all the talent they had this season. It was a sarcastic post because of all the ones bragging about all this talent. When I saw the WB game, I sure didn’t see a lot of talent. If they have this talent, they sure didn’t show it. Again, let me emphasize, when you lose several years in a row, you have a losers mentality, unless the coaching staff can change it. I simply do not think they have a quality coaching staff and that is my opinion Quote

He had to put his system in place and have it trickle down to the middle schools. It doesn’t happen overnight. Coach Lynch had undefeated teams and had players ready to play once they reached varsity and JV. You have to give it a chance. If they are so bad, why torture yourself? We have to remember these are kids and young adults. Maybe you should act like one and get behind your team instead of complaining. Bigdog 1 Quote

spidersal Posted 20 minutes ago Report Posted 20 minutes ago The only years that you have with a good season is 2020-2021. 2021 they set at the house with a 4-3 district record. Don’t even mention 2024 when they chocked in the last district game and got embarrassed by Texas High, a team that PNG beat in the playoffs. Why did they get embarrassed Can you say because their defense was horrible you are still tremendous with stats, however you still have no answer about what it takes to win Quote
