Not really.

HI couldn't even field a 6 man football team this season.

HI only has 8 players in the basketball program, 4 are freshmen.

So they don’t field sub varsity basketball teams. Their entire varsity team is a combination of would be freshmen and JV players…

Correct. There are several 1A teams that only have one team. Only varsity.

From what I know, HI has 1 senior, 1 junior, 2 soph. and 4 fresh. that make up their entire basketball program.

They only have about 60 kids total in HS

I can guarantee you that Coach Tigee and Coach Kennebrew would have never scheduled High Island when they were coaching at Hamshire-Fannett.

This should not be allowed to happen from either school, terrible look for the first game of a new coaching regime. 

 

Dumb by High Island to agree to it. There a plenty of schools in the east/southeast houston area that had to be looking for games. Heck even just intrasquad would be better than that.
