BADSANTA Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Silsbee in a tight game. Tigers 17 Nederland 13 Quote
1970 Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Nederland's 3rd straight 4A matchup; and second straight 4ADII. Probably another close one, but I'm thinking Silsbee, and perhaps not as close a game as last season's game in Nederland. Quote
outanup Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Should tell us alot more about where the dogs stand. Silsbee has been consistently solid for some time now. IMO the jury is still out on the Lumberton and WOS wins. Tigers should take this one. Quote
Tiger33 Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 If Nederland is a heavy run team i like our chances. We struggle defending the pass. Silsbee will also have to clean up turnovers and penalties Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Give me the Tigers, 17-10 BADSANTA, T-Lu and Pepper Brooks 3 Quote
T-Lu Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Silsbee 21- Nederland 13 , this will be fast game, both teams try to establish the run .. we can score better than Nederland , we have to clean up the turnoves, we turn it over 7 times vs them we will lose Quote

Darth Texas Posted September 8 Report Posted September 8 The X factor is Silsbee’s passing game. Run defense has been good for Ned, and I don’t expect them to struggle too much unless Silsbee can keep the ball moving through the air. We haven’t yet had to see how Ned deals with a strong qb. I think this one will be higher scoring just because I think Nederland is going to figure out some more offense, but I’m going with Silsbee, 38-31. Quote
A BUC 77 Posted September 8 Report Posted September 8 Low scoring affair, I think. Big Ned's defense is pretty good, I hear. Have not seen them yet. QB and RB will settle in. If the o line can open some holes, Ned wins on the road. 14-7 Nederland. Come on Dogs make me a profit. Quote
BADSANTA Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 Johnson for Silsbee really has a solid arm. Silsbee WRs get better week by week. Id like to see the deep ball to #6 more along with more middle of the field routes. Silsbee must stop the terrible offside and false start penalties. I'll take Silsbee 14-10. Silsbee OL/DL will be the Xfractor. Quote

We don’t know how good yet since they haven’t faced an offense that can really challenge through the air. But, the sky definitely isn’t falling. Whatever the problems Nederland had moving the ball against WOS, it was pretty clear WOS was having a miserable time against the Nederland D. Silsbee’s probably a different test since they can sling it. Quote
BADSANTA Posted September 9 Report Posted September 9 Back down memory lane 1993 Silsbee vs Nederland one of the most electric football games i can remember attending. Bigdog 1 Quote

Back a little farther down memory lane, 1984 a defensive struggle in ole Kirby Memorial Stadium. 14-10 with time running out, we make a drive and a TD, Lewis to Keel, for the game winner 17-14. That was a great game to be a part of. BADSANTA 1 Quote
BADSANTA Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 Kickoff 730pm? I imagine a few Tiger fans will be here in Houston for Colorado vs U of H. I wish this Colorado game was Saturday. Quote

I wish this Colorado game was Saturday. It was originally scheduled for Saturday but got moved to Friday for primetime TV. Lot's of Silsbee folks were going but now cannot. Particularly the Silsbee coaching staff and players. BADSANTA 1 Quote
